We worried about the Tamar Braxton’s turned-reality star after she was fired from “The Real” and ended several friendships. Now, three years later, our concerns have only grown. We’ve seen all of Tamar’s romantic relationships fall apart right before our eyes.

“I’ve been a victim of domestic violence and assault. I was attacked,” Tamar bravely shared, shedding light on her personal struggles.

Now, she’s engaged to a man named Jeremy Robinson, but many people believe this relationship is doomed from the start.
Tamar’s first public relationship was quite a rollercoaster. After nearly nine years of marriage, she filed for divorce from Vince Herbert amidst allegations of physical and emotional abuse. The headlines were everywhere. She even got an order of protection against him. It wasn’t easy, but they eventually figured out how to co-parent their son, Logan, for a while.

In 2018, Tamar started dating David, a financial advisor. By July 2019, her divorce from Vince was finalized. Tamar had always been firm about not wanting more children, but meeting David changed her mind. She wanted Logan to have a sibling. Unfortunately, her relationship with David was a mess.

Fast forward to July 2020, Tamar was caught off guard when the trailer for her reality show “Getcha Life” was released. She felt it painted her in a negative light. David wasn’t happy about it either, and his reaction really upset Tamar. Shortly after the trailer dropped, David found Tamar unresponsive in their downtown LA Ritz Carlton Suite. He called 9-1-1, saying Tamar had been drinking and taken some unknown pills. She was rushed to the hospital and later moved to a mental health facility for specialized care.

Weeks later, Tamar opened up on Instagram, sharing her struggles over the past 11 years as a reality star in the entertainment industry. She talked about the pain she endured, feeling betrayed, taken advantage of, overworked, and underpaid. She asked to be released from her contract, and eventually, the network agreed.

During those tough times, she had David by her side and thanked him for saving her life. But less than a month later, insiders told The Blast that the couple had a heated argument while driving to check Tamar into a mental health facility. Tamar allegedly questioned David about an Instagram post involving her son, which reportedly made David so angry that he threatened both their lives.

“Well, that’s what The Insider said at least. I’ve never, ever, ever—I never will ever—put my hand on a woman. Ever.”

In a surprising twist, David was granted a temporary restraining order against Tamar. Court documents obtained by Entertainment Tonight showed that David also asked Tamar to move out of their apartment and requested she enter a 52-week batterer intervention program. The restraining order was dismissed in March 2021 when neither of them showed up in court.
Tamar has been through a whirlwind of relationships, each one more dramatic than the last, with accusations of physical violence and even restraining orders. Things seemed amicable with her ex-husband Vince after their divorce, but even that fell apart. In February 2022, she went live on Instagram to share that Vince had blocked her, making it impossible for her to reach their son when he was with Vince. When her followers told her to keep it private, she shot back,

“Listen, my baby daddy is my cousin, okay? Just like family, we argue and fight. We don’t get along.”

Fast forward to August 2022, and Tamar was spotted at a nightclub, celebrating a mystery man’s 46th birthday. The internet quickly identified him as Jeremy Robinson, and soon enough, his entire background was public knowledge.

Jeremy’s life story is quite remarkable. After earning his GED while in juvenile detention, he joined the Marine Corps in 1995 and was awarded a combat strike flight air medal for his service in Operation Iraqi Freedom. He then went on to earn a bachelor’s degree from Auburn University and studied at John Marshall Law School in Atlanta. Today, he’s a personal injury and criminal defense attorney with his own law firm in Smyrna, Georgia, and also runs a company called Racks to Riches Logistics. Oh, and by the way, he’s a father of five kids with four different women.

One of Jeremy’s baby mamas recently went online to blast him, accusing him of being “for the streets.” In an Instagram post, she claimed that despite being a white man, Jeremy likes to call himself “light-skinned” and “white chocolate,” even saying he considers himself “the minority within the minority.” She added that Jeremy is always out at Atlanta clubs every night, hitting on beautiful black women.

But that’s not all. She said co-parenting with Jeremy is a total nightmare. According to her, he manipulates their daughter by sending her screenshots of their private conversations from the family group chat. She ended her rant by calling Jeremy extremely rude, arrogant, racially insensitive, a womanizer, and degrading.

“Well, she’s just salty that her baby daddy moved on with our girl Tamar. Maybe so.”

At first, Tamar wasn’t ready to confirm their relationship, and as expected, things seemed to go south between her and Jeremy about three months after his birthday party. At an event, Tamar told a journalist she wasn’t involved with anyone because “the dudes in Atlanta are for everyone.” She added,

“I didn’t know these guys were so communal. Somebody could have told me that.”
So, one of his kids’ moms did try to warn her, but anyway, moving on. Months went by, and in February 2023, we found out that Tamar actually met Jeremy on the set of the dating reality show “Queen’s Court,” which was filmed in Atlanta. The show was co-hosted by Holly Robinson and her husband Rodney Pete, who helped Tamar, Evelyn Lozada, and Nivea navigate the ups and downs of dating several contestants to find their perfect match. Tamar told Vibe magazine she signed up for the show because she was having trouble finding a good partner. Despite her love-hate relationship with reality TV, she decided to give it a shot.

When people online realized Jeremy was a contestant on the show, they started wondering if their breakup was real or if Tamar was just creating some drama to get attention for the show. In the finale episode, Tamar accepted Jeremy’s proposal, so yep, they’re officially engaged.

On her birthday, Tamar posted on Instagram celebrating Jeremy. She wrote about how it took her a while to realize that true, wholesome love actually exists. She also mentioned that Jeremy’s five kids mean the world to her. But one of his kids’ moms wasn’t having it. She said she stayed quiet for over a year while Tamar caused nothing but chaos and unnecessary drama in their lives.

According to claims, Tamar has made demeaning and disrespectful comments about how she co-parents with Jeremy, and allegedly, she has caused him to miss visitation weekends and birthdays. However, Jeremy defended Tamar, calling her an amazing mother who spoils all his children with love.

Let’s be clear: having children with multiple partners doesn’t mean someone is undeserving of a meaningful relationship. The producers of Queen’s Court clearly thought Jeremy was a great fit for the show. But are the dating options in ATL really that slim? We need our ATL besties to chime in below. Some believe Tamar lacks the emotional intelligence and patience to handle a man indefinitely connected to four other women. Dear Abby from the Chicago Sun-Times addressed a similar situation, suggesting that having many children with different women might indicate a problem with making lasting commitments. She added that while it’s fine if a woman chooses to join this kind of arrangement, the chances of a serial procreator settling down and committing to one woman for life are slim.

Regardless, Tamar confirmed to People magazine that she and Jeremy are already planning their wedding. Maybe Tamar has all the qualities Jeremy has been searching for in Hotlanta.
