Hey, everyone! Welcome to this fantastic Today, I’ve got some exciting topics lined up for discussion. Naturally, we’re diving into Normani’s latest, and let me tell you, it’s truly iconic. But before we delve into that, I want to shine a light on a couple of other talented artists.

First up, let’s give a round of applause to Tanasha. Recently, she unveiled her latest single, “Bouncing,” along with an accompanying video, and I must say, it’s quite the spectacle. The incorporation of a trampoline into the choreography? Genius. Tanasha’s been really hitting the mark with her up-tempo pop tracks lately, and her dance moves? Always on point.

Next on my radar is Bree Runway, a pop sensation hailing from the UK. Bree’s music is a delightful fusion of various genres – from pop and R&B to hip-hop and dancehall. She’s got this eclectic style that reminds me a bit of Dawn Richard from Danity Kane. Both Bree and Dawn refuse to be confined to any musical box, and I love that about them. They’re boundary-pushers, not conformists. Plus, their visuals and performances? Top-notch.

I genuinely believe Bree Runway has what it takes to dominate the mainstream scene. Just imagine if her track “Hot Hot” got the remix treatment, maybe featuring someone like Doja Cat? It’d be unstoppable. All she needs is that right push, and she’ll be soaring high in no time.

So, I saw Bree and Doja hanging out recently, and it got me thinking—they seriously need to team up for a song. If they haven’t already talked about it, they definitely should consider it. Plus, imagine how incredible it would be if Doja invited Bree to join her on tour. That would be an unforgettable show.

Switching gears, let’s talk about Willow Smith and Tierra Whack. They collaborated on Willow’s track “Extra,” featured on her latest album “Lately I Feel Everything.” While I haven’t listened to the entire album yet, I did check out their song together, and I’m hooked. Willow’s alternative rock vibe mixed with Tierra’s style is just fantastic. It’s especially cool to see Willow embracing the rock sound and giving it her own twist, making it more popular.

Now, onto Normani’s latest masterpiece. Her new single “Wild Side” featuring Cardi B is just mind-blowing. I’ve been saying it for a while now—Normani is destined for greatness, and this song and video prove it. After nearly two years without releasing a single, she’s back and making a statement. It’s clear she’s here to stay, and “Wild Side” is an absolute hit.

I’m really feeling the vibe and the sound of this song. While it samples Aaliyah’s classic hit “One in a Million,” I’m loving the fresh spin it brings. Despite being a sample, it still manages to sound innovative and distinct, standing out in the R&B scene. Personally, I’m giving it a thumbs up. Being an R&B enthusiast, I’m drawn to its genre, and the harmonies, melodies, and overall atmosphere just resonate with me.

Now, onto the music video – there’s a lot to unpack. The variety of looks and scenes is impressive. One standout element is the stellar camera work; the diverse angles and shots add excitement to the viewing experience. It’s flawlessly executed. Another highlight for me is the choreography. Normani nails every dance sequence, particularly the rooftop breakdown, which is my favorite. Her performance in the scene where she dances with herself is also mind-blowing. Normani truly shines in every moment. She’s undeniably one of the top-tier dancers in the industry, on par with Janet Jackson and Ciara. Her ability to keep up with complex routines is commendable.

Props to Sean Bankhead for choreographing this masterpiece. Every dance sequence is spectacular, and the visuals are stunning.

The only scene that didn’t sit well with me was the one featuring Cardi B. I found it somewhat unnecessary for them to undress, and the entire sequence felt a bit awkward to me. It seemed like Cardi, being pregnant at the time, used Normani as a cover-up for her belly. While I understand the reasoning behind this direction, the scene felt unnecessary overall. Frankly, Cardi didn’t seem essential to the song either. Although her presence likely aimed to garner attention, it didn’t feel integral. Surprisingly, Cardi wasn’t originally intended for this track; it was supposed to be a solo single. However, she expressed interest in joining, and it happened quite spontaneously. I remember being in rehearsal for the music video, pondering collaborations, and suddenly, the opportunity with Cardi arose. It was almost serendipitous how it fell into place. Although Cardi’s addition felt last-minute, Normani could have easily carried the song alone. She has a distinct shine of her own. Yet, I recognize Cardi’s stature as a major artist and how her involvement could elevate Normani’s exposure.

Normani hasn’t released a new single since “Motivation,” which was nearly two years ago. It seems her team secured this collaboration to ensure the upcoming single creates a buzz, as “Wild Side” is poised to lead her forthcoming album. From a business perspective, this collaboration makes sense. While any collaboration with a prominent hip-hop artist would have been logical, Normani has proven she can hold her own, as demonstrated with “Motivation.” Surprisingly, “Motivation” received minimal promotion, limited streaming placements, and scant radio airplay, with Normani performing it only once on TV at the VMAs. Yet, it still went platinum, the music video accumulating over 140 million views on YouTube, showcasing Normani’s ability to carry a song independently. With proper promotion, she has the potential to skyrocket. The presence of Cardi B on “Wild Side” promises increased exposure, given Cardi’s track record of receiving extensive support upon releasing new music. Looking ahead, I hope Normani ventures into more up-tempo pop songs for her next single, despite appreciating “Wild Side’s” urban appeal. Pop music remains her forte for reaching a broader audience. Nevertheless, I’m eagerly anticipating her future releases while enjoying “Wild Side.” Share your thoughts on this in the comments below, like, comment, and subscribe, and thank you for watching! See you next time.
