What a scene! Nicole Murphy, Eddie Murphy’s former spouse, made an appearance on the Wendy Williams show today, aiming to dispel rumors surrounding her alleged affair with a married man. To catch you up, last summer, Nicole was caught in Italy cozying up with Hollywood director Antoine Fuqua, who happens to be married to actress Lela Rochon. The internet exploded with speculation and criticism aimed at Nicole after these images surfaced. Initially, Nicole attempted to set the record straight through a statement to Love B Scott, asserting that she and Antoine were simply friends, and their encounter in Italy was just a cordial exchange. However, Nicole has since retracted this statement, claiming it was inaccurate. This revelation unfolded during her discussion on the Wendy Williams show, thrusting Nicole back into the spotlight and fueling ongoing discussions about her involvement with a married man. It seems there’s some discrepancy regarding the statement’s origin, with Nicole denying any involvement in its release.
While aboard the airplane, let me backtrack. I had just returned from Europe, specifically Italy, where I attended a film festival for business purposes alongside some designers. Among the crowd were familiar faces. In Italy, that incident occurred. You know, that moment where it seemed like everyone had just rolled out of bed? I was at the pool, not suffering from sunburn, mind you. It was simply the effect of a different time zone and my struggle to stay awake, fueled by an espresso. And then, unexpectedly, there was an ill-advised lean-in, a regrettable lapse in judgment. I acknowledge and apologize for my mistake. I’m only human, after all. It’s imperative to conduct thorough research. Actions can’t be undone, but lessons can be learned. As for the familial kiss notion, that’s simply not the case. Contrary to what’s been suggested, I did indeed release that statement. Recently, if I encounter her in passing, it’s as if we’re strangers. The disbelief etched on Wendy’s face was palpable, rightfully so, as my words were deceitful. Love B Scott didn’t hesitate to call me out on my falsehood, providing evidence of the statement I claimed not to have released. So, yes, I did send it. Now, as for how I know him, it’s through occasional encounters at events and such. Shall we examine Exhibit B?

During the interview, things got pretty chaotic. Nicole had to confront the rumors about her alleged involvement with Lisa Ray’s ex-husband, Michael Misick. When the scandal with Nicole and Antoine surfaced, Lisa Ray claimed that during her marriage to Misick, Nicole had an affair with him. However, Nicole vehemently denied these allegations on Wendy’s show, emphasizing, “I never did that.” She pointed out that Misick himself released a statement refuting the claims. Nicole dismissed Lisa Ray’s accusations, asserting that they were simply untrue and that Lisa Ray had made harsh remarks about her on social media. Despite Misick’s statement, doubts lingered, with Nicole acknowledging the challenge of convincing people, especially given her previous misstatements. This skepticism was fueled by Lisa Ray and her sister’s affirmation that Nicole had indeed been involved with Lisa Ray’s ex-husband.
Do you think she was messing around? Love, did she pursue Lisa Ray’s husband during the event hosted by the First Lady of Turks and Caicos, when Rob Dyrdek was there? We’ve all made mistakes and need to learn from them. But when you engage in such behavior, especially within the circle of friends, how does a familial kiss turn into a half-hearted apology like, “What do you mean you didn’t know she was married?” We all knew she was married; that’s ancient history. You don’t betray friends like that because loyalty should be paramount, right? It’s disheartening when the person you invite into your home, celebrate birthdays with, and attend games with, ends up leaving with your spouse. The whole situation is chaotic, and Nicole’s interview with Wendy only made matters worse for her. I’m not sure who advised her to address her messy affairs on the messiest daytime TV show, but it was quite amusing watching her attempt to explain herself, even though neither the audience nor Wendy Williams were buying it. Anyway, let’s shift gears. Destiny’s Child singer Michelle Williams is frustrated with people constantly comparing her to the white actress Michelle Williams. For those unaware, the actress Michelle Williams recently won an Emmy for her role in “Fosse/Verdon” and delivered a powerful acceptance speech highlighting the gender pay gap in Hollywood, particularly emphasizing the pay disparity faced by women of color. Although her speech was laudable, it faced backlash from some quarters, with individuals inadvertently directing their criticism at the wrong Michelle Williams.

They came after Michelle from Destiny’s Child, and Michelle had to respond, clarifying that she’s not the white Michelle Williams, but the black Michelle Williams. Let’s set the record straight. Why is it that when people tag, compare, or congratulate someone, they fail to recognize my Black identity? When you visit my profile or search for Michelle Williams, you’ll find that I’m Black, okay? I’m not mixed with anything; I’m mixed with Persian Russian. I am Black. So, why am I receiving hate in my comments for Michelle Williams’ speech, which I believed was her truth? I found it powerful and factual, but apparently, not everyone agrees. Just a few minutes ago, I had to tell a woman on my Instagram, “I’m sorry if my namesake upsets you, but can’t you see that I’m Black?” Yes, I might have a lighter complexion, but when you tag Michelle Williams, can’t you read? Can’t you take a moment to check a person’s profile before tagging? Apparently not. Get it right. I pray that one day I’ll win an Emmy, a Tony, or even an Oscar if that’s the Lord’s will, but I am NOT the Michelle Williams who won that Emmy last night; she is white, I am Black. So, when you tag, look closely—you’ll see a black girl. Got it? Good. I’ll catch you all later, stay blessed. And remember, reading is fundamental, so is observation. Before you tag me, observe that profile picture. Sometimes I wish I could virtually slap people in the comments, just to wake them up. I wish a hand would appear and give them a spiritual slap. Now, leave me alone. And please, stop tagging me in your comments and speeches. My DMs are flooded with people confusing me with others from stories to magazines. It’s frustrating. Can we all agree to leave the black Michelle Williams alone and show some respect? Anyway, share your thoughts on this video below, like, comment, and subscribe if you care. Thanks for watching, see you next time. Bye.
