First, let’s talk about the Queen of Rap, Nicki Minaj. She’s currently the most streamed Black female artist of the decade on Spotify. To give you some context, Rihanna is number one with over 25 billion streams. That’s insane! Rihanna doesn’t even release new music that often, yet she has 25 billion streams. Her songs are all hits. Doja Cat is next with 21.8 billion streams, followed by Nicki Minaj with 19.5 billion, and then SZA with 19.3 billion.
Here’s what I think: Rihanna’s streams are mostly from her older songs, which people still love. She’s been getting over a billion streams consistently throughout 2024. Nicki Minaj’s streams come from both her old and new songs, and people are listening to all of them. SZA’s streams are also a mix of old and new tracks. As for Doja Cat, even though her last album “Scarlet” didn’t make a big splash, she’s still getting a lot of streams. It’s amazing how she’s pulling in those numbers. She’s the Princess of Rap and she’s doing great.
Let me know what you think in the comments. This is fantastic news for these women; they are breaking records and making history.
Moving on, Nicki Minaj shared a link to her tickets and the new merch for Pink Friday 2: Second Leg. She confirmed that the second leg of the tour is still happening, despite rumors that it would be canceled. Nicki and Sexy Red are gearing up for the second leg, and it’s almost sold out. So, ignore the fake news about the Queen of Rap. Get your merch and tickets because we are definitely seeing Nicki Minaj on this tour.
Nicki, fans are asking for Sexy Red to be the opening guest. Let us know if you want Sexy Red. This was briefly discussed on Twitter yesterday. Do you want to see Sexy Red?
Also, Nicki has been posting old pictures of herself on Twitter. Fans are supporting her, saying she hasn’t changed her face and is still as beautiful as ever. Nicki has the right to share her pictures, and it’s not meant to be shady. She’s showing that she hasn’t had any facial reconstruction. She’s still the same Nicki Minaj, both then and now. Not everyone can say the same. She’s beautiful inside and out. No shade.
Pop Flop recently posted that fans noticed Nicki Minaj had unfollowed JT on Twitter, causing quite a stir. When I first saw the tweet, I thought it was fake, but it quickly went viral among both Nicki’s fans (the Barbs) and JT’s fans. As a Barb myself, I find it crazy that some would criticize Nicki for JT. For the record, Nicki still follows JT on both Twitter and Instagram.
There was also a fake call circulating, supposedly between Cardi B and Nicki Minaj discussing loyalty. People need to stop spreading this misinformation. Fans pointed out that the call was likely AI-generated, and given the history, it’s unlikely Nicki would have her calls recorded. It seems like Pop Flop might be trying to sabotage Nicki Minaj or disrupt JT’s era.

Nicki responded to Cardi B on Twitter with, “Barbs, this whole time, no, just now? Yes, now. Take off your detective heels and go lay down.” This was in reference to Cardi suggesting that the Barbs are her secondary fan base and that they only pretend to dislike her music while secretly enjoying it.
To clarify the situation, I’ll include a clip in this video so you can understand Nicki’s tweet better. Here’s what Cardi B said on Twitter Space:
“Leave me alone. Like, first of all, it’s something when my fans harass me for my album because my fans harass me for my album because they want it. Like, Barbs harass me for my album because they want it. They fake act like they hate me, but they really enjoy my music.”
When Cardi B was calling out Joe Budden on Twitter, accusing him of being obsessed with her, she was really trying to say that the Barbz (Nicki Minaj’s fans) are the ones eagerly waiting for her album. She claimed the Barbz actually like her music. Honestly, she needs to stop talking about us. We’re celebrities too, and she’s always dragging us.
Cardi should focus on releasing her album and putting out hit singles instead of shading the Barbz. And she really needs to stop arguing with fan pages. It just makes it look like she’s trying to promote her new single through drama.
The whole back-and-forth with Joe Budden seemed like a planned move to promote her new single, which isn’t doing well. Despite the Spotify streams, some of her fans are claiming that her YouTube views are being sabotaged, which is just ridiculous. The music video got 363k views on the first day, which is not great. No wonder some fans are scrambling to defend her. She even tried using her body to promote the video, but it still flopped. It’s clear her career is struggling right now.
I told you all that song was going to flop. It’s barely making any noise on the charts. Cardi tried to use provocative tactics to promote it, which she doesn’t need to do. She should focus on making good music instead of relying on these stunts. Promoting music with your body, especially while pregnant, is not a good look. Cardi B’s recent desperate moves, like releasing multiple versions and remixes of the new song, just scream flop. Let’s face it, she’s in a rough spot in her career right now.
At the end of the day, I’m not here for all the Cardi B antics and her desperate attempts to promote her song with her body. She needs to find a better way to promote her music and get some good writers because that song, those lyrics, were terrible. Let’s not pretend this is the song of the summer. Some of you are delusional, and that’s why I call you the delusional gang. Let’s move on.
JT’s “City Cinderella” has reached number two on the U.S. charts. It’s her highest-charting solo project so far. Share your thoughts in the comments. The love and support for “City Cinderella” is huge. Keep showing up for JT, and I’ll keep supporting her too. You should also check out the music video for “90 Babies” because it’s amazing. Seriously, it’s fire.

Moving on to Chlöe, she’s announced that her album “Sugar Honey Iced Tea” will be released next month in August. Share your thoughts on this in the comments. Is Chlöe really dropping an album without a hit single? This label is hyping her up, and her fake online supporters are doing the same. This album is going to flop. No shade. It won’t do better than her last album, Megan Thee Stallion’s, or Pink Friday 2. Why is she releasing an album without a hit single to promote it? Back in the day, you’d release an album after scoring a hit song. Look at Sabrina Carpenter; she has two hit songs charting and is about to drop her album. That’s good promotion. Chlöe needs a hit song before releasing her album. She thinks she’s the queen bee of rap, but it’s time to hang it up. No shade.
Now about Ice Spice, she has earned her second top 20 hit on the UK singles chart with “Deli,” following her first with “Princess Diana.” Share your thoughts in the comments. This is a big win for Ice Spice. She’s climbing the Spotify charts, showing people are really streaming and liking her music. The UK fans are showing up for Ice Spice. This is great for her because her last two singles were flops and didn’t even chart on the Hot 100. When she was collaborating with Nicki Minaj and trying to sample, those songs flopped. But now, with a good song moving up the charts, Ice Spice has some real promotion for her album.
Lastly, let’s talk about the Chlöe and Ice Spice situation. Chlöe was asked if she would do a rap battle with Ice Spice, and she said no, she would only battle someone she could go toe-to-toe with. Ice Spice wouldn’t want to battle her, according to Chlöe. Share your thoughts in the comments. Chlöe, it’s time to stop with the messy questions just to hear what the other person has to say. The beef is kind of boring. Let’s stop and call it off.
