Shannon Sharpe has been under a lot of stress since he released interviews with Katt Williams and Mo’Nique on his podcast. These interviews revealed some secrets about powerful celebrities, and they haven’t been happy with the backlash. As a result, Shannon has found himself in their crosshairs.

Recently, Shannon has been experiencing mysterious issues with his podcast, and Mo’Nique believes Kevin Hart is behind it. During their interviews, both Katt Williams and Mo’Nique called out Kevin, accusing him of being a handler and gatekeeper for the Hollywood elite. Mo’Nique even provided evidence suggesting that Kevin and Tyler Perry are working to shut down Shannon’s Club Shay podcast.

So, what exactly was said about Kevin on Club Shay, and is Tyler Perry trying to silence Shannon? Katt Williams was the first to criticize Kevin Hart, and he didn’t hold back. Their feud began a few years ago when Kevin wore a dress on SNL, which Katt saw as part of a larger issue of black men in the industry being pressured to wear women’s clothing. Katt views this as an attempt to emasculate black men and maintain control over them. When asked about it, Katt chose to talk about the industry’s tradition of black men wearing dresses for fame, rather than attacking Kevin personally.

In that same interview, Cat dropped even more bombshells, claiming that his career had been stifled because he refused to stay silent. He alleged that industry bigwigs didn’t like him airing their dirty laundry and retaliated by keeping his career on a tight leash, preventing him from reaching superstar status. According to Cat, anyone who goes against the industry faces constant backlash, media hatred, and general unpopularity.

Cat didn’t throw shade at Kevin during the interview. Instead, he acknowledged that Kevin was just doing what he had to do to survive in the ruthless world of Hollywood. But Kevin took it the wrong way and fired back on The Breakfast Club. Kevin accused Cat of lying and claimed that Cat’s career didn’t take off because he couldn’t stay clean and was battling addiction.

“My frustration with Cat comes from him constantly blaming Hollywood, the white man, this and that. When do you take responsibility for your own actions? You had your shot. You were in the prime position. You were the guy. You were set up to be a star. You didn’t show up to work. You missed promo shoots, you skipped your PR trips that were set up for you. You became a liability to the studios, which is why they stopped working with you. Why? Because you chose drugs,” Kevin said.

He continued, “Take responsibility for your choices and say, ‘You know what? I need to fix myself and come back stronger for comedy.'”

At the time, rumors were swirling that Cat was hooked on drugs, and Kevin capitalized on this, saying Cat’s career floundered because of his drug use. He blamed Cat for his own failures, accusing him of not taking responsibility and constantly pointing fingers at others. But have you ever noticed how the industry loves to label anyone who spills secrets as crazy or addicted to drugs? We’ve seen the same tactic used against multiple truth-tellers like Kanye, Dave Chappelle, and, of course, Cat Williams.
But anyway, that was just the start of Cat and Kevin’s saga. One thing Kevin might have forgotten is that Cat has a memory like an elephant and can hold a grudge forever. Five years later, Cat finally got his revenge on Club Shay, and he didn’t hold back. On the show, Cat dragged Kevin through the mud, suggesting that Kevin sold out to the industry for fame and power. He accused Kevin of bowing to Hollywood’s whims, allowing himself to be humiliated for success, and hinted that wearing a dress might have been part of some humiliation ritual. Cat didn’t sugarcoat any of it.

And Cat didn’t stop there. He claimed that Kevin’s so-called sold-out shows were just smoke and mirrors, saying Kevin never actually sold out a show but faked it to look like a big success. Cat kept throwing shade, calling Kevin an industry plant with a suspiciously fast rise to fame. He pointed out that Kevin’s climb to stardom was anything but organic, suggesting he was propped up by Hollywood right from the start.

“In 15 years in Hollywood, no one remembers going to a sold-out Kevin Hart show, there being a line for him, or him ever getting a standing ovation at any comedy club. He already had his deals when he got here. Have we ever heard of a comedian who came to LA and, in their first year, had their own sitcom on network television and starred in a movie called ‘Soul Plane’? No, we’ve never heard of that before or since. What do you think a plant is?”

He also called Kevin Hart a gatekeeper for Hollywood elites. “Yeah, because they tell you there are no gatekeepers, but we keep seeing the same people opening the gate. Didn’t Kevin open the gate? Isn’t he now opening it up for others? Don’t such and such open the gate? What do you mean, there are no gatekeepers? There are a hundred gates out here.”

Cat was definitely vicious, but Mo’Nique took it to the next level during her interview on Club Shay because she also tore into Kevin big time. She exposed Kevin as a two-faced snake, claiming he betrayed her after she was blackballed by Oprah and Tyler Perry. You know all about how Tyler Perry and Oprah blackballed Mo’Nique when she refused to do a free press tour for the movie “Precious,” so I’m not going to bore you with all those details. Check out the other videos for that. But after she was blackballed, nobody wanted to work with her because nobody wanted to get on Oprah and Tyler’s bad side. According to Mo’Nique, Kevin acted like he was going to be a real friend and stick by her, but ultimately, he betrayed her too.
Kevin Hart, remember when Cat Williams talked about gatekeepers? Yeah, Kevin Hart. I was on his podcast, and I want you all to listen to it again so you can hear for yourselves. When he first starts, he says, “You’re like my mother. You’re like my aunt. You’re like my sister.” We talked about the Tyler Perry situation and Oprah Winfrey. Kevin said, “I don’t really know Oprah, but I’m going to reach out to Tyler.” I appreciated that Kevin kept his word. He reached out to Tyler Perry and called me back about a week later. He said, “Mo, I talked to Tyler. He said he doesn’t want to revisit it. But let’s move past that, Mo. Let’s just do great things.” Kevin told me, “Let’s move past that, Mo. Let’s do some great things together. Don’t worry about anything else. I will partner with you. I’ll executive produce with you. You just let me know what you want to do.”

But did he really follow through and help Mo’Nique get back on her feet? She said he acted like her ride-or-die, promising to stick with her through thick and thin, even though she was already blackballed and treated like an outcast in the industry. She believed him because he seemed so genuine. But after all those promises, he ghosted her and acted like she didn’t even exist. The worst part? He didn’t even have the guts to break things off himself. He had other people do it for him.

Then, when he came back with “I got you,” I didn’t ask Kevin Hart to do anything. He said, “I’ll executive produce, I’ll partner with you.” I said, “Great, Kevin, because we’re in a deal with Endemol and we’re trying to get our talk show back. Mo, whatever it is, I got you.” Now, Kevin Hart is one of the biggest entertainers in the world and was then. We got off the phone with Kevin Hart, and we called Endemol immediately and said, “Kevin Hart said whatever we want to do, he got us. He’s going to partner and executive produce.” They were thrilled, saying, “This is incredible because with Kevin Hart’s name on it, you already know what it is.”

Two weeks later, we got a call from Endemol. They said, “We just got a call from Kevin Hart’s manager, Dave Becky, and Dave Becky said Kevin doesn’t want anything to do with Mo. So whatever she told you, he doesn’t want to do anything with her, nothing. He doesn’t want any kind of relationship with Mo’Nique.”
What changed in those two weeks? And he even gave you a check, which you returned, and he promised to partner with you, to executive produce, whatever you needed. Mo, we had your back. So what do you think happened during that two-week period?

Well, right after we got off the phone and heard what Kevin’s manager Dave Becky said, I called Kevin Hart immediately. I said, “Hey, we just spoke with Endemol, and they said Dave Becky called them and said you don’t want anything to do with me.” Kevin replied, “Mo, that’s a miscommunication. I assure you.” So, wait, are you okay with this manager stepping in and interfering with our relationship? He repeated, “Mo, it’s a miscommunication, and we’ll talk on Tuesday. Don’t worry about it. I promise it’s a miscommunication.” That was two years ago. Have you spoken to him since? I haven’t heard from Kevin Hart again.

It seems like he had his manager deliver the bad news like a cowardly messenger, and when Mo’Nique tried to reach out again, he ghosted her. But it gets even juicier because Mo’Nique claimed to have audio proof of him throwing her under the bus and essentially groveling for fame.

You said I’m like these things. I didn’t ask you for that. So everything that was said here was accurate because when people say, “Get the anger out of your heart,” oh man. No one said he’s lying. No one ever said I was lying. It’s easy to discount and devalue us because of how we look. However, regarding Tyler Perry, I won’t allow you to discount or devalue him because that’s his voice on that audio.

Remember on Good Times when Penny’s mother was whooping her, and it was recorded? That’s you on tape. Kevin Hart and Tyler didn’t like being outed, and according to Mo’Nique, they are allegedly behind Shannon’s issues. She claimed they are not only trying to sabotage Shannon but also allegedly trying to blacklist her and Cat Williams in Hollywood as punishment for speaking up. Well, it seems Mo’Nique is done playing by the rules because she also claimed to have solid evidence to prove she’s telling the truth and is prepared to leak it if Tyler and Kevin don’t back off.

Fans are not happy, leaving comments like, “I had to pause the show for a minute. My heart aches for how they treated Mo’Nique. Tyler Perry, Oprah, even Kevin Hart, snakes. I mean, I knew this, but to hear the details, wow. If Kevin Hart had this problem with Mo’Nique, he should have just told her directly instead of promising to call and then ghosting her.” And “We’ve got to protect Shannon Sharpe at all costs. He speaks out and puts a target on his back. I’m so glad he continues to speak up.”

This situation is messy and looks like it’s about to get worse. Share your thoughts in the comments below
