Despite facing criticism both publicly and privately, she couldn’t defend herself because of her role as a preacher-speaker’s wife. It was a tough spot for her, dealing with harsh judgment and negativity from both sides. I really don’t envy her; she had a rough time for nine whole years.
“I was at the grocery store, and I saw you on a newsstand with your breasts showing. Understand? We’re going to cover up, right? No, wait a minute. No, no, no. She’s not going to cover up. She’s going to wear what she wants to wear, in the name of Jesus. Amen? Amen. She’s going to wear what she wants to wear,” Meagan shared.
Talk about audacity, y’all. If that woman had a real concern, she could have approached Meagan privately at the grocery store or even written her a letter, instead of publicly humiliating her. Even then, it would have been rude, but not as hurtful as what actually happened. The comment clearly affected Meagan, reinforcing why she never felt truly welcomed in the church. If someone is willing to shame her like that in public, who knows what happens behind closed doors? It’s crazy that after all the changes Meagan went through because of DeVon, she still faced bullying from the very people who should have supported her. To DeVon’s credit, he did try to defend her at times, but it wasn’t enough. There were moments when he wasn’t around or couldn’t speak up, leaving Meagan to endure these insults by herself.

They argued that the incident stemmed from her emotional crisis, which led to her hospitalization, and that Majors was only arrested because the NYPD is required to do so in such situations.
In no time, Majors went from being a Hollywood favorite to a villain accused of abusing women. The backlash was swift. His management company dropped him, and he lost several major roles.
One of the biggest blows was losing his role as King in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Everyone thought he had that part locked down, but Disney moved quickly and reportedly recast the role, with the new actor expected to be revealed in the upcoming Deadpool and Wolverine movie.
Variety reported that since his arrest, Majors has been dropped by his talent manager, Entertainment 360, and his publicity firm, The Lede Company. He’s no longer involved with the Protagonist Pictures film “The Man in My Basement.” The US Army and the Texas Rangers baseball team also pulled major ad campaigns featuring him. Other projects, like “The Understudy” for Amazon and the Dennis Rodman film “48 Hours in Vegas” for Lionsgate, are now in limbo.
Majors’ trial was a circus, revealing some unflattering details. The worst was a text message hinting that he might have been physical with his girlfriend, Grace. He texted her, “And you have, I fear, no perspective of what could happen if you go to the hospital. They will ask you questions, and as I don’t think you actually protect us, it could lead to an investigation even if you do lie and they suspect something.”
Grace replied, “I will tell the doctor I bumped my head if I go. I’m going to give it one more day, but I can’t sleep and I need some stronger painkillers, that’s all. Why would I want to tell them what really happened when it’s clear I want to be with you? I feel like you want to be together so as not to embarrass yourself for everything you’ve said to your friends and family.”
Jonathan said, “Last night, I thought about ending it all when I got home. You needed love last night, and I tried to put my feelings aside to give you that. But I need love too. Maybe I’m such a monster and a horrible man that I don’t deserve it and should just end it. This way of existing is miserable.”
Jonathan faced multiple charges: three counts of attempted assault, one count of assault, one count of aggravated harassment, and one count of harassment. According to a source, the first three charges were misdemeanors related to incidents in the car. The fourth charge of harassment, the least severe, alleged that Majors threw Jabari back into the car as she tried to exit. The defense argued he did this to stop her from running into traffic.
During the trial, a viral video showed Jonathan running away from Grace, leading fans to believe he was innocent and trying to escape her while she chased him through the streets.
He was found guilty, and the Manhattan District Attorney released a statement saying, “The evidence presented throughout this trial illustrated a cycle of psychological and emotional abuse and escalating patterns of coercion far too common in intimate partner violence cases. Today, a jury determined the pattern of abuse and coercion culminated with Mr. Majors and his girlfriend.”
To clarify, Jonathan’s guilty verdict wasn’t for intentionally harming Grace; it happened during an argument where he was trying to break away, accidentally causing her injury, which led to the verdict.
