Kanye West’s latest Yeezy SZN9 collection has sparked controversy once again. In a bold move that has left many reeling, West unveiled a White Lives Matter shirt during his fashion show, igniting a firestorm of criticism and condemnation.

Some view West’s decision to promote white supremacy under the guise of fashion as misguided and provocative. Pairing with conservative commentator Candace Owens, who also sported the contentious shirt, further exacerbated tensions. The adoption of the “White Lives Matter” slogan is seen by many as a direct affront to the Black Lives Matter movement, which strives to shed light on systemic racism and police brutality faced by Black communities.

While acknowledging flaws within the Black Lives Matter organization, including allegations of financial mismanagement, it’s important to distinguish between the movement’s core message and its institutional shortcomings. The phrase “Black Lives Matter” serves as a rallying cry to address injustices faced by Black individuals, not as a proclamation of supremacy.

West’s penchant for controversy is well-documented, and this latest stunt is no exception. While some admire his fearlessness in pushing boundaries, others find his actions tone-deaf and disrespectful. Despite the backlash, West remains largely immune to cancellation, as his penchant for controversy is deeply ingrained in his persona.

Ultimately, West’s foray into controversial fashion statements underscores the complexities of his public persona, leaving many to grapple with conflicting feelings of admiration and disdain. As the discourse surrounding West’s actions continues, it’s clear that this is far from the last controversial chapter in his storied career.

Danny Lay’s latest controversy involves yet another attempt to have a black woman removed from her show. Last week, she made headlines for trying to oust comedian B Simone, as I previously discussed. Lay’s discomfort stemmed from B Simone’s diss track against her and alleged connections with Lay’s baby daddy, The Baby. Understandably, Lay didn’t want to share space with someone who had publicly antagonized her. However, Lay’s demands have escalated, as she recently sought to remove radio host Kendra G from her show simply because she didn’t want to engage with her. This move raises eyebrows, particularly because Kendra G has never wronged Lay; in fact, she previously defended Lay when The Baby publicly embarrassed her on social media. The situation leaves many perplexed by Lay’s increasingly unreasonable behavior.

“Shout isn’t my girl. She’s never been my girl. She’s just my side.”

Following The Baby’s public humiliation of Danny Lay, labeling her a side B and unceremoniously evicting her from his apartment, she was left looking foolish. Many women sympathized with her, and several individuals rushed to her defense, including Kendra G. However, all of this sympathy and support seemed inconsequential when Danny Lay attempted to have Kendra removed from her own morning show simply because she felt uncomfortable with her presence. When Kendra discovered this, she unleashed her fury.”

Today’s “Goofiest Person of the Day” award is presented to Danny Lay. Let’s delve into why. Danny Lay found herself in the bustling city of Chicago, perhaps for reasons unknown, maybe a high school reunion, who’s to say? Nevertheless, she had an interview scheduled with the morning show, but things took an unexpected turn when she requested the removal of Kendra G from the interview, citing discomfort. But hold up, this ain’t no Wild ‘N Out scenario, there’s no B Simone-ing happening here. Consequently, the entire interview got the ax. But the burning question remains: why the aversion to conversing with me, Kendra G, in the first place? After all, I’ve been a vocal supporter, even defended her on-air during the infamous IG Live debacle with her baby daddy. Shout out to B Simone, a real one in my book. But while I get why she might have declined Wild ‘N Out with her, I’m still scratching my head over Danny Lay’s stance. Is she afraid I’ll pose the tough questions, like whether she’s still cozying up with her baby daddy post-IG Live drama? Hey, I might’ve asked, because the people want to know. Or maybe she’s sweating bullets over that cringe-worthy Yellowbone track. Well, let me tell you, celebrating one’s complexion is all good, but ain’t no song gonna make me feel some type of way about my melanin. Could it be she’s dreading questions about her journey from girlfriend superiority to baby mama blues? Heck, I might’ve thrown that curveball too, ’cause that’s the job – asking what the people want to hear. Perhaps Danny should focus on her craft, cooking up hits in the studio, instead of letting her personal life overshadow her music. That’s on her, not me. You can’t go around trying to control interviews like that. So, she missed out on a prime slot at Chicago’s top urban station, and who knows if that opportunity will circle back, given her lackluster music buzz. Yep, total goofball move. Enjoy your time in the Windy City, Danny, while it lasts.

Now, onto Kendra’s mic drop moment. She didn’t hold back, and rightfully so, because Danny Lay’s passive-aggressive antics have been raising eyebrows. This isn’t the first time she’s pulled shady moves behind the scenes and then played the victim card when called out. Her response? Deny, deny, deny. She claims she was clueless about the interview uproar, stating it was news to her when she woke up. But hold up, that doesn’t add up. Danny Lay’s scheduled to perform in Chicago tonight, and typically artists hit up morning shows to hype their gigs. And she’s not available in the evening? Please, she’s got a show to rock. So, the likelihood of her conveniently missing out on this promotional opportunity is slim to none.

Let’s not forget her history with black women. Ever since the Yellowbone fiasco where she used a song to taunt her baby daddy’s ex, Mimi, the signs were there. Now, with insider reports surfacing about her negative views on black women, it’s crystal clear. Danny Lay’s got some deep-seated issues to address.
She was remarkably forthright with me. She looked me straight in the eye and said, “I don’t identify as black, but I enjoy black music and am attracted to black men. I just wish black women weren’t so envious about it.” She didn’t mince words. So, Danny Lay perceives black women as envious of her. It seems she harbors some resentment towards them. Interestingly, black women were among her staunchest defenders during her recent altercation with the baby. Yet, it appears she doesn’t genuinely hold a favorable view of black women. Whatever her issues may be, she ought to address them. It’s not acceptable to sabotage others’ opportunities or remove women from their own platforms simply due to personal biases or fears. Such behavior is absurd, and she should mature beyond it. I’m curious to hear your thoughts on this video.
