According to reports from Hollywood Unlocked, singer Danny Lay allegedly had comedian B. Simone removed from an episode of Wild ‘n Out due to suspicions that B. Simone was involved with her ex-partner, DaBaby. When Hollywood Unlocked initially reported this, Danny Lay seemingly brushed it off; however, B. Simone’s liking of the post and subsequent appearance on the Tamron Hall Show seemingly lent credence to the rumor. B. Simone addressed the situation on the show, stating, “Is it true they took you off the show? You know what, I’m going to answer that very simply. It is true, but we’re going to have grace for that situation. I don’t agree with it, but I understand it, especially, you know, she’s not that mature, so we’re just gonna have grace for her and move forward.” So, it appears Danny Lay’s discomfort with B. Simone stemmed from her connection to DaBaby.
Now, for those unfamiliar, B. Simone has long expressed admiration for DaBaby, but her interest waned when DaBaby began dating Danny Lay. While disappointed, B. Simone didn’t exhibit animosity. Instead, she praised Danny Lay, even making self-deprecating comments about herself. However, despite B. Simone’s admiration, Danny Lay seemed to harbor some underlying tension towards her.
Danny Lay later addressed the situation on Instagram Live, explaining her decision to keep B. Simone off the Wild ‘n Out episode she was participating in. “You know me and B. Simone are not cool, so I just, my team asked if it’s cool she doesn’t do the episode that I do. Respectfully, it was never anything to be like, ‘I’m a Diva, I don’t want.’ I thought it’d be more mature to, however, it’s not sitting next to each other on the show, making it mad awkward and uncomfortable. You know like I, that’s, I’m protecting my peace, I’m protecting my heart on the situation. It wasn’t petty. She was actually there, so I’m sure she got paid. It wasn’t to take away money from nobody’s pocket.”
Why did it happen? Why did certain things get said? Honestly, I wasn’t aware of what you wanted, it was all a bit unclear to me. That’s just the way it goes, I guess. Recently, there was this whole diss track thing aimed at me. I chose to stay silent about it. I’ve come across text messages between him and her. Still, I decided to keep quiet about it, and that’s the story.”
So that’s the perspective from Danny Lay, who also admitted to instructing her team to cut ties with B. Simone. She made it clear that their relationship soured because B. Simone released a diss track against her. The Neighborhood Talk even managed to dig up the diss track. While I don’t know the title of the song, B. Simone was throwing jabs at Danny Lay, labeling her as “baby mama number three.” Supposedly, this was the root cause of Danny’s anger.
Coincidentally, or perhaps not so much, the drama spilled onto the blogs. Initially leaked to Hollywood Unlocked, the Wild ‘n Out feud gained more attention when B. Simone appeared on a nationally syndicated talk show on the same day, discussing the matter while promoting her new project. From my perspective, it all seems rather calculated on B. Simone’s part. I can’t shake the feeling that this was nothing more than a publicity stunt. However, Danny Lay’s frustration with B. Simone appears genuine. She was genuinely upset about the diss track. She may deny it, but I suspect there was also tension because B. Simone was communicating with the baby. That’s just my hunch, though. Danny may deny any pettiness, but she has a history of passive-aggressive behavior, especially when it comes to the baby. I recall the feud with the baby’s other baby mama, Mimi, where Danny even taunted her with the controversial “Yellow Bone” song. Danny has shown a tendency to be passive-aggressive towards women associated with the baby, so it’s plausible that she harbored some resentment towards B. Simone. However, the diss track was the real trigger point. B. Simone stirred up unnecessary drama with that move. I can’t fathom why she would do that. Perhaps she’ll shed some light on her motives eventually, but for now, it remains a messy situation.
Hailey Bieber is once again under scrutiny, accused of harboring an obsession with her husband Justin Bieber’s ex-girlfriend, Selena Gomez. Before tying the knot with Hailey, Justin had an on-again, off-again relationship with Selena for about a decade, from 2010 to 2018. Their tumultuous relationship garnered significant attention, marked by frequent breakups and makeups. During this time, Justin was also linked to Hailey, leading some of Selena’s fans to view her as an interloper, potentially responsible for the demise of Justin and Selena’s relationship.
Accusations of Hailey’s alleged obsession with Selena stem from her past actions, including publicly discussing Justin and Selena’s relationship in interviews and on podcasts. Hailey recently addressed these allegations on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast, vehemently denying any romantic involvement with Justin while he was still with Selena. Was there ever a moment when Justin or anyone else reached out to his ex to help quell the harassment from her fans? No. What I can say is, she’s been in this industry much longer than I have, and perhaps she knows something that I don’t, or perhaps she believes it wouldn’t make a difference. I believe there are simply no expectations. If reaching out was something she deemed necessary, that would be incredible, but personally, I respect her. There’s no drama.
Have you personally spoken with her? Yes, in the past, but not recently. Our interactions tapered off after his marriage. That’s Hailey’s perspective, and following her recent comments, many of Selena’s fans criticized her for not intervening to stop the hate directed at Hailey. However, there is a video of her urging her fans to be kind, although it seems they haven’t heeded her advice, as they continue to target Hailey. But that’s beside the point.
I believe, after this interview, Hailey should refrain from discussing Selena altogether. Regardless of what she says, people will persist in portraying her as obsessed, even if she’s not. Continuing to talk about Selena only perpetuates this narrative. Selena’s fans, on the other hand, need to relax. They must come to terms with Justin’s decision. He chose Hailey, he married her, and it’s evident that she’s who he wants to be with, irrespective of his history with Selena. Ultimately, he chose to marry Hailey, and people need to acknowledge that and move forward, ceasing the unwarranted hate directed at Hailey.
