Hey everyone! Chan Rock had a response for Summer Walker following Summer’s playful TikTok mockery. Summer often indulges in online skits, showcasing her playful side by impersonating various celebrities, like her hilarious take on Steve Harvey. So, this wasn’t out of character for her. However, many interpreted it as shady.

“Get out, we talking about a little baby in his restaurant [ __ ], little baby in his restaurant, and I’m talking about kid. You talking about me eating at somebody’s restaurant?”

In the video, Summer held a doll mimicking the way Chan held her son, reminiscent of that viral Walmart clip where Chan held her son in an unconventional manner. Since then, Chan has faced ongoing criticism regarding her parenting. She even faced backlash for delaying her son’s hernia surgery to accommodate Blueface, her baby daddy, who wanted to be present. Blueface publicly called her out and even shared their baby’s picture without her consent. However, this incident pushed Chan to prioritize her baby’s health. Although she eventually scheduled the surgery and got back on track, the scrutiny over her parenting skills continues to linger.

So now we observe Summer Walker playfully jabbing at Chan, but it left many feeling uneasy because Summer herself doesn’t have a flawless track record. She attempted to clarify on her Instagram story, saying, “Please don’t take my humor too seriously. My favorite comedians are Dave Chappelle, Bernie Mac, Richard Pryor, and Cat Williams. They say stuff and don’t give a f**k. I know this generation doesn’t understand how to actually just laugh and move on. But yeah.” In Summer’s perspective, she didn’t perceive her actions as wrong or harmful. However, Chan felt offended, prompting her reaction to Summer’s video.

“Oh God, bro. I saw that video, right? I’m like, so I didn’t comment. I didn’t say nothing back. I DM’ed Shorty. I texted her. I was like, ‘Yo, you want to post that TikTok? That [ _ ] came off offensive.’ She was like, ‘Oh damn, like my bad. Like, you want me to take it down?’ I said, ‘For sure. You have a big influence, bro. That Walmart [ _ ] triggered me, why am I forgetting that I’m human, bro? Like that lady that recorded me when I was at Walmart, why you ain’t help me, my like, but like, no, I’m with Summer, I really do. I just didn’t, with the impression, only because, come on, yo, I was like, yeah, it’s one thing when you was just talking about me, it was cute, the little miss it too, then you added the fake baby with the bent back, like, all right, that was a bit much, like, you were very insensitive, and then, I like that. But you’re one of the females that’s reaching out in my DM, saying, ‘Girl, I love you, if you ever need help or support, I encourage you to stay positive.’ Like, you one of them. But you just mocked me on TikTok and went viral, like, so, like, yeah, my feelings was just hurt, but, like, I swear, this industry just cold, it’s very cutthroat, it’s very like, right, very clout-driven, and then the clout-driven part just comes off very negative.’ So, I don’t think she meant to come off that negative. She even said it on her story, but it’s just like, bro, if I did the same [ __ ] to you, but I don’t have to, I’m not clout chasing off of anybody’s name, but my name, my name, or my baby daddy’s, now.’

I can actually understand where Chan is coming from, because it is a bit weird for Summer to be in her DMs encouraging her, but then she’s going to turn around in the public eye and mock her. It is weird. And Summer, in the past, has been kind of called out for throwing rocks and hiding her hands. She did that to Jada Cheaves. She kind of took a shot at Jada Cheaves when she was going through her situation with Lil Meech. Lil Meech cheated on her, and she was like, ‘You know what? I can’t be like J Cheaves and stay with a cheater,’ basically, that’s what she said. And yeah, it was out of pocket because it came out of nowhere and Jada didn’t do anything to deserve that. So Summer has done some things that can be seen as shady, and this situation with Chan is no different. People felt like she was being shady, but at the same time, in Summer’s defense, I could also see where she was being comedic. And I don’t think she had any real ill intention, but what she did can definitely be seen as offensive, and I can understand why people thought it was shade. And I do think Chan was justified in calling her out. You know, I’m not really a fan of everything Chan does, but in this case, I think she has a right to feel how she feels.

Summer responded to Chan by posting a video of Ebony mocking her, finding it amusing. She commented, “This was dead funny. This is my baby daddy’s baby’s mama who’s obsessed with me, and we’re not cool, but it was funny, period. And you don’t see me crying. Some things are just harmless funny jokes, like, get a grip. Dang, it was not that serious. You asked me to take it down, and I did. Now let’s not drag it. I made a TikTok to a viral sound, just like everyone else. I really be forgetting I’m famous. Two million people make a TikTok or say the same joke everyone else has said, but I do it, people get hurt sensitive about a TikTok that was viral way before I did it, but you ain’t have no sympathy when you’d be dragging bees across the ground and dunking girls in sinks just for looking at you funny. Let’s please tighten it up. It was never that serious.”

Some perceive Summer’s response as gaslighting Chan. While acknowledging Chan’s imperfections, it’s not fair for Summer to dictate how Chan should feel about being mocked. Chan felt offended, not amused like Summer did. Summer should have respected Chan’s feelings, especially since they’re supposed to be on good terms.

Instead of addressing it publicly, Summer should have left it alone. But since she didn’t, Chan felt compelled to respond. Chan criticized Summer for being hypocritical, calling out her past actions. She also leaked their private messages. While Chan’s feelings are valid, it’s questionable for her to attack Summer in return. Just as some believe Summer shouldn’t criticize Chan, Chan shouldn’t criticize Summer either. Summer doesn’t need Chan’s attention for fame; she’s already established in her career. The back-and-forth between them seems unnecessary and raises concerns about Summer’s shifting behavior. However, Chan’s feelings remain justified.
Moving forward, it seems Chan is expecting another child? Speaking of Chan, she recently participated in an interview with Fashion Nova, where she disclosed her upcoming bundle of joy. “I’ve always envisioned myself as a mom, and I knew I wanted twelve kids. So, with one down and another on the way, how about the remaining ten?” Chan expressed her desire for a large family, currently having one child and anticipating another. Did you catch that? She shares a son with Blueface and hints at another child on the horizon. Speculations abound that this new addition could also be Blueface’s offspring. If confirmed, it spells drama, especially since Blueface recently proposed to his long-term girlfriend, Jaden Alexis. This potential revelation could fuel reality TV content and gossip blogs, leveraging the trio’s tumultuous relationship for fame and fortune. The attention garnered has already led to lucrative opportunities like brand deals, reality shows, and music streams. Jaden herself secured a record deal with Columbia Records, demonstrating the financial potential in their saga. It’s a whirlwind of clout-chasing and drama, with more likely to unfold. While the truth remains uncertain for now, I’ll keep an eye out for developments. Share your thoughts on this matter in the comments below.
