Allegedly, she is making preparations to leave, recognizing the gravity of the situation. If Jay-Z is indeed next, it will be significant, given the accusations against him.
It seems that every time we think Hollywood’s situation can’t worsen, it does. Comedian Katt Williams was right when he said 2024 is a year of reckoning. Major figures are facing repercussions this year, regardless of their status. The truth is being revealed, and anyone who takes issue with this likely knows why. This entire situation started with Diddy, and now it’s like a domino effect, with many men in Hollywood being exposed for inappropriate behavior toward women.
This time, rapper The-Dream has been exposed for behavior similar to Diddy’s. The lawsuit was brought by his former artist, Chana’s Mro, and it’s serious. Chana’s is represented by the same lawyers who handled Cassie’s lawsuit against Diddy, so it’s clear this situation is significant. The-Dream is likely in deep trouble, as Cassie’s lawyers have a reputation for being formidable.
Chana is from the Netherlands and moved to the US in 2014 to pursue her dreams of becoming a star. She claimed that people working for The-Dream contacted her on social media, saying he was interested in collaborating with her. Believing her big break was coming, she relocated to Atlanta. Unfortunately, things didn’t go as planned. According to court documents, The-Dream, under the pretense of offering a legitimate recording and publishing contract, lured the young and vulnerable artist into a relationship filled with physical violence, sexual assault, and severe psychological manipulation. The lawsuit states that The-Dream made grand promises of making her as famous as Beyoncé and Rihanna, since he frequently wrote for both superstars. However, instead of fulfilling these promises, he exploited her for his own selfish purposes.
Even worse, he promised she would open for Beyoncé’s tour, forcing her to diet and exercise excessively for a tour he never intended her to join. It’s likely he never even spoke to Beyoncé about it, and had some bizarre fetish he wanted to fulfill by putting Chana on a treadmill. The lawsuit claims that instead of advancing her career, The-Dream used Ms. Mango for his base desires, which manifested in violent intimate acts and vicious psychological torture. For example, The-Dream allegedly locked Ms. Mango in a dark room adjacent to a recording studio, assaulted her, and then left her alone, undressed, in the dark for hours. He would return to assault her again, demanding that she profess her love for him.
The lawsuit lists several instances of The-Dream mistreating Chana, including forcing her to drink excessive amounts of alcohol by roughly pulling her head back by her hair and pouring alcohol down her throat. He allegedly strangled Ms. Mango during aggressive sex, sometimes with his hands and once using the collar of her dress, and on multiple occasions choked her so intensely that she almost lost consciousness. This behavior is not entirely surprising, given his history. In 2014, he was arrested for assaulting his then-pregnant ex-girlfriend, and a decade later, he faces similar charges.
The lawsuit also claims that The-Dream recorded Chana without her permission and used the videos to blackmail her, threatening to ruin her if she didn’t comply, much like what Diddy allegedly did to Cassie. Additionally, he used his professional relationship with Beyoncé to manipulate and control her. The document states he regularly used Ms. Mango’s admiration for Beyoncé as a manipulation tool, telling her that his success with Beyoncé was due to a unique bond they shared, which allowed him to write the best songs for her. He allegedly told Ms. Mango that to achieve similar success, she needed to become as close to him as Beyoncé, seeking and following his advice on everything, relying on him as her main confidant, and limiting her inner circle to only those he approved of and trusted.
This was clearly a tactic to isolate her from anyone who might see through his lies and help her escape his control. The lawsuit also claimed The-Dream manipulated and coerced Ms. Mango into believing that if she let him control every aspect of her life, they could create an unparalleled sanctuary, better than anything he had achieved with Beyoncé or Rihanna. When she asked him to clarify what he meant by “sanctuary,” he would say things like, “I’ll let you know after we win 10 Grammys together. For now, you just have to be free and let me undress you emotionally so I can know what’s underneath your heart.” Excuse me, what? He was reportedly so controlling that he would text her things like, “You belong to me now. I’m your mother, I’m your father, and everything now.”
And it gets even shadier. Remember how Cassie mentioned in her lawsuit that Diddy was surrounded by enablers who helped him hurt her and then turned a blind eye? According to Chana’s lawsuit, this was also true for The-Dream. His mistreatment of her was enabled by his record label, Contra Paris. Want to guess who co-owns Contra Paris? Jay-Z. Chana’s lawsuit stated that The-Dream’s depraved behavior was facilitated by Contra Paris LLC, as well as by Epic Records, the label that The-Dream persuaded to invest in Ms. Mango, despite having no intention of supporting her career. Instead, he wanted corporate funding to assist in his personal exploitation scheme. As a result, Ms. Mango’s career was derailed, her music was taken without explanation, Contra Paris never compensated her, and every attempt to revive her career was sabotaged by The-Dream and his supporters.
So, not only did the label enable The-Dream’s abuse, but they also took away her music and blocked her from succeeding in the industry, which is unbelievably cruel. At this point, we need to discuss Jay-Z and why so many in his inner circle are being exposed for these heinous actions. It makes you wonder what he might be hiding because it’s hard to believe he could be surrounded by so many bad actors and remain completely innocent. This sheds light on Jaguar Wright’s claim last year that Jay-Z is even worse than Diddy. Considering how bad Diddy is, that’s a bold statement.

I’m not sure yet who the breakout victim story will be, but I have a feeling it’s going to be big. Once Jay-Z’s past is exposed, you can bet Beyoncé will file for divorce. She might do an interview, or maybe she won’t, but their publicist will definitely release a statement. It’ll probably say something like, “The Carters have been separated for a while. They built a beautiful life together,” and all that.
This is why Beyoncé released two albums back-to-back, why her hair care line has been all over the place, and why she’s planning another world tour. It looks like she’s getting her finances in order because a storm is definitely coming.
