Have you heard about those parties? Nah, that wasn’t my scene at all. Word on the street is that Jay-Z has beefed up security due to threats from Beanie Sigel, who’s reportedly looking to retaliate after being dropped from the label. This info made it to the newspapers, so it’s public record. It’s almost like a ritual, in a way. I know that when Jay-Z was working on his albums, he always wore Biggie’s chain, his Cuban link with the Jesus Piece. Jail rock.

It looks like the rap community is finally starting to speak out against Diddy and Jay-Z after staying silent for years and overlooking their questionable activities. The latest artist to break his silence is Beanie Sigel, who has decided to share his experiences and expose both Diddy and Jay-Z.

Beanie recently revealed some disturbing things he heard about Diddy’s infamous parties. He wisely chose not to get involved because he knew from the start that Diddy wasn’t to be trusted. But when it came to Jay-Z, Beanie really believed he was a true friend. Unfortunately, as we’ve heard from many other rappers, both alive and dead, Jay-Z ended up betraying Beanie and turning his back on him when he needed support the most.

So, what exactly happened between Beanie and Jay-Z, and what did Beanie reveal about those infamous Diddy parties? Let’s dive in.

As Diddy’s potential arrest reportedly approaches, more details about his alleged wrongdoings are coming to light, and industry figures are finally starting to speak out against him. 50 Cent was probably the only one bold enough to publicly call out Diddy long before all these lawsuits started piling up. Back then, it seemed like 50 Cent was just being petty and trolling Diddy for laughs. But now, as Diddy’s legal troubles continue to mount, more and more of his former associates are finding the courage to share their own stories. The latest to do so is former Roc-A-Fella artist Beanie Sigel.

But Beanie didn’t just go off on Diddy; he also spoke about Diddy’s longtime friend, Jay-Z, who, according to Beanie, betrayed him in the worst way.

Let’s start with Diddy. He and Beanie used to be cool back in the day. Beanie even made a guest appearance on Diddy’s second studio album, “Forever,” jumping on the track “Journey Through the Life” with Diddy, Lil’ Kim, Joe Hooker, and Nas. Diddy even wanted to sign Beanie to Bad Boy, but Beanie had already made a deal with Roc-A-Fella, and in hindsight, he definitely made the right choice. They don’t call it the Bad Boy curse for nothing. Almost every artist who signed a deal with Diddy ended up getting screwed over.

In a recent interview on “The Art of Dialogue,” Beanie Sigel opened up about his decision to sign with Roc-A-Fella Records, expressing no regrets. Considering how Diddy treated his artists, he wondered if his career would have survived had he gone with Diddy instead.

“You wrote for Diddy at one point, right?” the interviewer asked.

“Yeah, yeah, I wrote a couple of records. I don’t really remember which ones, though,” Beanie replied.

“How did that happen? Did he reach out to you?”

“I did that early in my career, right after I signed with Roc-A-Fella. There was a bit of a rivalry going on. I got a call from Puff, and me, him, and Nas were supposed to work on a track together. I ended up staying at the studio and working on a few songs.”

“Really? So, he was trying to sign you to Bad Boy?”

“Yeah.”

“Wow, you could have been with Bad Boy or even the Rough Riders.”

“Why didn’t you sign with him?”

“I was already committed to Roc-A-Fella. I hadn’t signed a contract yet, but it was pretty much a done deal.”

“Looking back, do you regret signing with Roc-A-Fella?”

“Hell no, I don’t regret that at all.”

“Knowing you could have been with Bad Boy or Rough Riders, would you still make the same choice?”

“Think about that. Bad Boy or Rough Riders? Maybe Rough Riders, but with everything I know now? Nah.”

Regarding Diddy’s current legal troubles, Beanie mentioned that he had heard rumors about Diddy’s infamous parties over the years but made it clear he never attended any.

“What do you think about Diddy’s situation right now?”

“It’s wild.”

“Did you ever go to his parties?”

“Not once.”

“Not even one?”

“Never.”

“But you heard about them?”

“Yeah, I heard about them. That wasn’t for me. No way.”

When it comes to Jay-Z, Beanie once had a lot of trust in him, not realizing that Jay would eventually betray him, similar to how Diddy treated his Bad Boy artists. During an appearance on “Drink Champs” in 2021, Beanie recalled that when he first signed with Roc-A-Fella in 1998 and became their flagship artist, he genuinely believed Jay-Z was solid and had his back.

“Roc-A-Fella Records was the only thing I’ve ever been a part of that I thought was genuine. Really me, for what it was. I’m from South Philly, where you pray next to someone, turn around, and they blow your head off. That’s where I come from.”
Just like many other artists who thought Jay-Z was a true friend, Beanie Sigel quickly learned that Jay really only cares about one thing: profit. All that talk about “La Familia” went out the window the moment Jay-Z thought Beanie might mess with his money.

Here’s some background: back in 2009, Beanie recorded “I Go Off” with 50 Cent, taking shots at Jay-Z. But by then, Beanie and Jay were already on bad terms. Their fallout began around the time Roc-A-Fella split, and Beanie was dealing with legal issues. On “Drink Champs,” Beanie talked about how crushed he felt when Jay-Z vouched for him in court in 2003, only to say he wouldn’t be responsible for keeping tabs on Beanie’s whereabouts.

“Back then, I was going to court while we were on tour. At my bail hearing, the judge asked Jay if he’d be responsible for my whereabouts. Not my actions, just my whereabouts. Would he let them know where I’d be? And after saying all those good things about me, Jay put his head down and said no.”

“I’ve never been so crushed in my life. This was my guy. I thought, ‘What if I really needed to get out of jail?’ And this was my friend, someone I loved. If it were me, I’d get my man out no matter what. Hearing him say no took everything in me not to let go. It took away a lot of what we had.”

Some fans defended Jay-Z, saying he did the right thing because it’s not his job to keep another grown man out of trouble. They believed Beanie was responsible for his own actions and it wasn’t fair to expect Jay to save him from his mistakes. But many others pointed out that this isn’t just about Beanie Sigel. Almost everyone who helped Jay-Z rise to the top, from Jaz-O to Dame Dash, has a similar story of feeling betrayed.

To be fair, it makes sense that no one becomes a billionaire by being overly nice. It seems almost necessary to lack certain morals or principles to make that much money. While lacking morals may make someone seem like a snake, it isn’t a crime. So, are people just bitter when it comes to Jay-Z?
A lot of people think Jay-Z isn’t just about betraying friends or making shady business moves; some even accuse him of serious crimes, claiming he’s taken out anyone who stood in his way. One of the loudest voices on this topic is Jaguar Wright. Over the years, she has made some pretty bold claims against Jay-Z, saying he’s been responsible for the deaths of people like his former partners Big L and Pimp C, Aaliyah (who was allegedly his mistress), Kathy White, and more.

“What’s the problem with Roc Nation and Jay-Z now?”

“Three weeks later, some random dude walked into his mansion, armed security, his 80-year-old wife shot in the back.”

And it’s not just Jaguar Wright. Even big names in the industry have made similar accusations about Jay-Z. Take Kanye West, for example. Back in November 2016, right before he was hospitalized and placed on psychiatric hold, Kanye went on a rant during his Sacramento concert, accusing Jay-Z and Beyoncé of blackmail to win awards. He even suggested Jay-Z might have people killed and could come after him for speaking out.

“I was hurt because I heard that you said you wouldn’t perform unless you won video of the year over me and over ‘Hotline Bling.'”

“Jay, I know you got killers. Please don’t send them at my head. Just call me. Talk to me like a man.”

Coincidence or not, less than 24 hours after calling out Jay-Z and Beyoncé, Kanye had some sort of breakdown while with his former personal trainer, Harley Pasternak, and was put on a 5150 psychiatric hold. Considering what we now know about Harley Pasternak and his threats to institutionalize Kanye again, it’s no wonder people look at Jay-Z with suspicion.

Also, remember Jay-Z’s ties with R. Kelly and Diddy? They were close for years, but as soon as legal troubles hit, Jay-Z distanced himself. The mainstream media doesn’t often question Jay-Z about his connections with Diddy, but 50 Cent reminded everyone of their long-standing friendship. Right after Homeland Security raided Diddy’s properties in March, 50 shared a meme on Instagram saying, “Anybody seen Jay? LOL, Puff said he ain’t answering his phone.”

Jaguar Wright also had more to say, insisting it’s only a matter of time before people see Jay-Z as just as bad, if not worse, than Diddy.

“It must suck to know that Jay-Z is responsible for all of this. Little brother… they are psychopaths. They have been working together for the better part of 25 years. They collect victims, they compete, and they claim their prizes. You know there was a movie called ‘Kiss the Girls.’ Do you remember that with Morgan Freeman?”

“Yes, I definitely remember that.”

“And remember they were looking for the Casanova killer, and as they investigated, they saw certain crimes mirrored each other. Two different styles, same hunt. They found out it was two of them working together, mirroring each other, competing. One type of woman grabbed one way, the same type of woman grabbed another way on the other side of the country. They found their lunar cycle and how they hunted, when they picked. And guess what? It was the sloppy one that got them caught because the sophisticated one taught him how to hunt. Shawn Carter is just as bad as Diddy.”

“Look, I know that for a fact. I got the scars to prove it.”

Call Jaguar crazy or a clout chaser, but what’s really wild is how often she’s been right. Three years before Cassie’s lawsuit, Jaguar already claimed Diddy was an extortionist, long before anyone else used that term for him.

“And he’s using music and entertainment as a means to extort. He’s been mentored by Clive Davis.”

So, who’s to say Jaguar Wright won’t be right about Jay-Z too? Only time will tell.

Meanwhile, Beanie Sigel’s fans are defending him, saying that despite his past mistakes, he seems saintly compared to Jay-Z and Diddy. One fan said, “I absolutely believe that he is 100% worse than that nasty dude Diddy, and not necessarily for the same things that Diddy has done, but certainly I have my reasons. If you have any level of high consciousness, when you know, you know.” Another added, “Jay and their beloved Queen Beyoncé… Kanye told y’all they unalived folks.”

What do you think about Beanie Sigel calling out Jay-Z? Do you think Jay-Z will be the next to fall after Diddy, or is he too protected? Share your thoughts in the comments
