She said, “He decided to leave without explanation, and I had to pick up the pieces of my life. There were countless days when I felt like giving up, dealing with court issues, being the only one in Los Angeles without family or support, and having to move into a new place with two little kids because my partner decided he didn’t want his family anymore.”
Things got even messier when April started dating Omarion’s former bandmate, Lil’ Fizz. Everyone knew Omarion and Fizz didn’t get along. I’m just unconventional, and I don’t really subscribe to the marriage business concept, okay? Yeah, it’s not really beneficial for someone like me to work hard and then split half with someone else. “But doesn’t that imply a lack of trust? It’s not the marriage itself that leads to losing half; it’s the divorce.”
“Yeah, exactly. I just don’t want to find myself in that messy situation.”
Eventually, April and Fizz split, with April accusing Fizz of not being fully committed to the relationship.
