Alright, let’s talk about Beyoncé and Kelly Rowland endorsing Kamala Harris at her Houston rally. I’ll be real with you—I didn’t catch the whole rally. I mainly tuned in to see Beyoncé, because, come on, they said she’d be there, and I thought, “Are we getting a free concert?” It’s been a while since we’ve seen her perform live on TV, so I was definitely hoping for something special. And I’m sure a lot of people felt the same way.
Funny enough, nobody even hinted that Kelly Rowland would show up. But she did—along with Beyoncé’s mom, Tina—and they both gave such powerful speeches. Kelly’s, in particular, was amazing. She’s such a natural speaker and really got the crowd going.
Now, I did have a little question mark over what she was wearing. Some people joked it looked like one of those classic Steve Harvey suits. But honestly, her outfit didn’t even matter. Her speech was one of the highlights for sure. And Beyoncé? Her speech was calm, composed, and so classy—almost like she could be the one running for office.
I’ve got to be honest—I was a bit disappointed that she didn’t perform at all. Not even a quick song or a little dance! Maybe I’m just being greedy, though, because at the end of the day, the rally wasn’t really about Beyoncé; it was all about the election.
Of course, some people were upset about Beyoncé backing Kamala Harris. Donald Trump even threw some shade, saying, “Joe Biden is asleep, and Kamala is at a dance party with Beyoncé.” Honestly, that was just petty. And Amber Rose, a big Trump supporter, added her two cents too, saying in The Shade Room, “She wants to be me so bad; she literally took my whole speech.”
Amber, let’s be real—nobody wants to be you. I get that she was trying to stir the pot and get a reaction, but sometimes it’s better to just cash your Trump check and mind your own business.
Now, I really hope everyone is getting out there to vote if you haven’t already. It’s super important, so make sure you go out and make your voice heard!
On a more serious note, Solange Knowles recently shared some tough news about her health. She opened up about having multiple autoimmune conditions. This came after model Shaun Ross revealed he has POTS syndrome following COVID. Solange responded with a message of support, saying, “Sending you so much love and strength, Shaun, and to everyone struggling with the debilitating symptoms of POTS.”
Solange shared that she was diagnosed in 2018 with POTS, Sjogren’s syndrome, and MCAS. For those who might not know, POTS is a condition where your heart races, and you feel tired or dizzy when you go from lying down to standing up. Sjogren’s syndrome affects the glands that produce moisture in the body, and MCAS leads to extreme allergic reactions.
This isn’t the first time Solange has opened up about her health struggles. Back in 2017 or 2018, she talked about being in and out of hospitals, praying just to survive. During that tough time, she sought a sign from God that she would make it through and step into her true light.
Her journey is incredibly inspiring, and her strength is a true testament to her resilience.
Now that I’m home, I want to share my thoughts: I understand that San’s conditions are physical. What she’s dealing with might have genetic factors, hormonal changes, dietary influences, or even environmental triggers, like different allergens she’s come across. There’s a lot that could be going on. But I also think it’s worth discussing the possibility that there could be a spiritual aspect involved as well. While I’m not entirely sure what Solange believes, I get the sense that she is quite spiritual and practices various spiritual traditions.
However, I’ve noticed that when people explore the spiritual realm and open themselves up to different deities and spirits, they can become spiritually vulnerable. Sometimes, these spirits can manifest as physical ailments. Some might find this idea a bit “out there,” but it’s something that happens to a lot of people. I remember watching an interview with actress Erica Alexander on The Breakfast Club, where she shared a story about her grandmother’s experience with witchcraft:
“My grandmother was into witchcraft, and sadly, it eventually led to her death. She ran a small café—a real hole-in-the-wall. Back in those days, many Black folks had to juggle different jobs. She would sprinkle dust at the door, so when people came in, the bell would ring, and the dust would fall on them.
“They called it ‘Goofer dust.’ Right across the street, her competitor used it too. She would go down to the Deep South, like New Orleans, to get stronger and stronger potions. Eventually, she ended up twisted up, with her head between her legs, barking like a dog.”
Erica went on to describe how her grandmother’s condition got worse:
“That Voodoo… that Root Boy, I’m telling you. She started coughing up frogs, and the women from the church went to find my eventual Godfather, William Griffith. He saw her condition, left for three days to fast and pray, and when he returned, he laid hands on her to help her. But he warned her, ‘The Lord told me to tell you that if you go back, you’ll come back in a box.’ She promised she wouldn’t, but my father’s last memory of her was getting into a red Cadillac with her boyfriend, Red, who begged her not to go. Two weeks later, they brought her home in a box.”
I found this story really fascinating! It highlights how diving into dark spiritual practices can lead to a lot of chaos—spiritual chaos, to be specific. The only real power that can help combat that is the power of Jesus Christ. Just look at Erica’s story: they had to pray away the health issues her grandmother faced after getting involved in witchcraft. Her grandmother was in such a bad state after dabbling in hoodoo; it was like she was folded up like a pretzel! She really needed Jesus—and honestly, we all do.
But I get it; not everyone shares these beliefs, and I’m not trying to push my views on anyone. I just think this spiritual stuff is super interesting.
Now, I’m not sure what Solange practices spiritually, and I probably shouldn’t jump to conclusions about whether her spiritual practices have anything to do with her health issues. It’s just a thought that crosses my mind. It seems like her autoimmune struggles came out of nowhere. She seemed relatively healthy until about six or seven years ago when she first opened up about her challenges. Some people might say, “How can you blame spirituality for her problems?” I know it sounds a bit out there, but I can’t help but wonder.
On a positive note, I’m really glad to see that she’s coping and getting the treatment she needs. I genuinely wish her all the happiness, healing, and a long life ahead. Anyway, I’d love to hear what you all think about this video! Please like, comment, subscribe, and share if you found it interesting. Thanks so much for watching, and I’ll see you next time. Bye!
