Curtis Jackson, widely known as 50 Cent, has had numerous high-profile relationships. However, his past romance with model and actress Daphne Joy has recently sparked some buzz. New allegations have brought their relationship back into the spotlight, and it’s turning out to be quite the drama! I had a feeling this one was going to be messy!

Back in 2010, Daphne was having a big year both personally and professionally. She graced the cover of Smooth Magazine in January and reportedly began dating comedian Dray Davis. Although it’s unclear when Daphne and Dray broke up, by the summer of 2011, she was seen with 50 Cent at various exotic locations. She even helped him celebrate his 36th birthday with parties in Las Vegas and Atlanta. But just weeks after his birthday, sources reported that their relationship had come to an end. Grand Opening, Grand Closing.
A Twitter user asked him about his status with Daphne, and he reportedly replied that he was single. However, it wasn’t entirely over between them. They were photographed together again, and D seemed to have some feelings about his ex moving on with 50 Cent. In September 2011, he tweeted, “how you model for smooth if your coochie bumpy?” Wait, what? Did he really just say that? He later deleted the tweet. So, we’re just going to gloss over the “bumpy coochie” comment? Okay then.

Over the years, they never officially confirmed their relationship status. Then in 2013, things really escalated. In June 2013, 50 Cent was accused of trashing Daphne’s bedroom during an argument at her Los Angeles condo. Daphne told the police that 50 caused $7,100 worth of damage, and when she locked herself in her bedroom, he kicked the door open and assaulted her. The police found broken chandeliers, destroyed furniture, clothes thrown everywhere, a smashed TV, and a broken lamp. What was he so mad about? Was it really about the “bumpy coochie”?
The most surprising part of the allegations was revealed in the police report, where investigators dropped a bombshell: 50 Cent and Daphne Joy had secretly welcomed a child. Daphne had quietly given birth to a baby boy named Sire Jackson in September 2012, about nine months before their domestic incident. In a statement, her lawyer said, “Daphne Joy and Curtis Jackson have been in an exclusive relationship for a few years. They had a child, and Daphne’s top priority is to ensure the safety of both herself and the baby during this challenging time.” However, the Los Angeles City Attorney referred to Daphne as 50’s former girlfriend. 50 Cent faced up to five years in prison, but he took a plea deal, resulting in 30 days of community service and three years probation. By then, it seemed their romantic relationship was over. Bye, ashy.
It wasn’t until January 2014 that 50 Cent publicly acknowledged their son, Sire. Then came July 2015, and 50 was ordered to pay $5 million to Rick Ross’s baby mama after he posted a sex tape of her and another man online to provoke Rick. Just weeks later, 50 filed for personal bankruptcy in Connecticut, claiming he was only worth about $4.4 million and that his displays of wealth were all smoke and mirrors. Trying to get out of that lawsuit, his lawyer told the court that 50’s bank account was nearing zero due to unpaid debts, including $1,737 he owed to his grandfather. Imagine borrowing money from Paw-Paul.
During his court appearance, 50 Cent quipped, “Now that I’ve filed for bankruptcy, I’m not as cool as I was last week.” Let’s be honest, though—his cool factor peaked with “Go Shorty, It’s your birthday.” The most surprising detail of his bankruptcy filing was the revelation that Daphne was only getting $1,267 per month in child support, while Shaniqua Tompkins, the mother of his first child, was receiving just over $6,000 per month. So much for “Have a baby by me, baby, be a millionaire.”
In the fall of 2015, Daphne moved on with Jason Derulo. Bet.com reported that 50 flooded his social media with pictures of his and Daphne’s son, Sire, during the holidays. But when Daphne and Jason went public with their romance by posting intimate vacation pictures, 50 quickly deleted all the photos of Sire from his Instagram. Taking the pettiness further, 50 commented on a photo of Daphne and Jason with, “But don’t worry, baby. I’m fine. Just a little shook up. LMAO. Good morning.” Clearly, his feelings were hurt.

After about six months of dating, Daphne ended things with Jason, a source told TMZ. Jason moved on and later made Jenna Frumes a single mother. The drama was real. Daphne refocused on raising her son, and she and 50 mended their friendship. Fast forward to July 2018, and 50 was having a busy month. When Remy Ma shared a picture of her slimmed-down figure on Instagram, 50 commented, “Damn, Remy. You lost mad weight. Hey, slim.” His comment didn’t sit well with Remy’s husband, Papoose, who clapped back, “Damn, Daphne Joy, no wedding yet? If 50 Cent doesn’t marry you, I’ll introduce you to my homeboy. He’s more mature. My left shoe is more mature than 50 Cent.”
Two weeks later, 50 Cent got into another online spat, this time with his on-again, off-again friend Floyd Mayweather. It all started when Floyd posted a photo from his son’s high school graduation, and 50 Cent made a jab at Floyd’s literacy in the comments. A week after 50’s snide comment, Floyd—or rather, his ghostwriter—fired back with a lengthy Instagram post that’s still up on his account. In it, Floyd called 50 a “certified snitch” who hasn’t had a hit song in years, accused him of living in a New Jersey apartment, and staying in other people’s business just to stay relevant. But the real bombshell came when Floyd wrote, “So quick to gossip like a [bleep]. Why don’t you tell everybody how you got herpes from DJ?” This led people to recall 50’s 2011 comment about someone on the cover of Smooth Magazine having a “bumpy coochie.” What in the Nestlé Crunch is going on in Hollywood?
Floyd wrapped up his message with a warning: “Just remember, I was with you every day, and your driver, Bruce, was my driver too. I know where all your bones are buried. So be easy, Curtis Jackson.” Using his real name? That’s serious! But Floyd wasn’t done. In another post, he shared a photo of Maury Povich alongside side-by-side photos of 50 and his son, Sire. In the caption, Floyd mocked 50’s strained relationship with his son, adding, “Don’t worry, Sire. Uncle Floyd still got you. I would hold little man down too, but you’re still not sure if he really belongs to you.” A bumpy coochie and questionable paternity? Fix it, Jesus!
Years went by, and in 2019, 50 Cent started dating Jamira Haynes. Meanwhile, rumors about Daphne’s escapades kept circulating, but they didn’t seem to keep anyone away. In April 2021, she was seen out with Diddy, and 50 Cent reposted the photo on Instagram with a caption that read, “Nah, me and Puff fight over business. If he liked a girl, he liked a girl.” Daphne later showed her admiration for Diddy by reposting one of his shirtless photos.
Looking through Daphne’s Instagram, it was noticeable that both Diddy and Joy Chavis were following her, and she was following them back. For context, Joy and Diddy were seen kissing on a yacht in September 2021, suggesting that Daphne was involved with Diddy before Joy came into the picture. What in the world is going on here?

Even though 50 Cent seemed unbothered by Daphne’s new romance, he turned up the pettiness in September 2022. After Daphne posted a photo of herself enjoying Diddy’s iHeart Radio Music Festival performance, 50 Cent shared a picture of himself with his son, captioning it, “Oh, that’s your mommy over there with Puffy? LOL. Remember what I told you the other day? These bees crazy. SMH.” Daphne, clearly fed up, commented on his post, “Please stop doing this to me. I never bother you, and I’m an outstanding mother to our son. Can we please, please just focus on that?”
Diddy was sued by his ex-girlfriend Cassie in November 2023, but they settled the lawsuit just one day later. Of course, 50 Cent couldn’t resist taunting Diddy about the situation. 50 Cent also announced he was making a documentary covering all the allegations against Diddy. Adding to Diddy’s troubles, his former producer Rodney Jones hit him with a $30 million lawsuit. According to court documents, Rodney claimed that Daphne and another of Diddy’s girlfriends, Young Miami, were sex workers hired by Diddy. He alleged that Diddy paid these women a monthly fee to be part of his harem. 50 Cent then posted an Instagram photo with the caption, “I didn’t know you was a sex worker, you little sex worker. LOL.”
On March 28th, 2024, a source close to 50 Cent told US Weekly that he planned to seek sole custody of their son due to allegations about Daphne’s involvement with Diddy. Daphne responded on Instagram, denying all of Rodney’s accusations and then calling out 50 Cent in a separate post. She claimed that he had only seen their son ten times in two years and accused him of forcefully taking advantage of her. She added that he had shattered her last hope for him as a father, saying, “You have broken our hearts for the last and final time.” It’s worth noting that these allegations came to light after 50 Cent announced his intention to seek full custody.
50 Cent didn’t directly address these allegations. Instead, he posted a photo of Diddy and Daphne on his Instagram with a caption implying that Daphne had moved closer to him in hopes of having another baby, but when that didn’t happen, she started receiving money from Diddy. He made some derogatory remarks and suggested she should have stayed with Vivica Fox, whom he described as more mature and drama-free.
Do you think 50 Cent will win full custody, or will Daphne use their past domestic issues and his alleged detachment from their son against him in court? Share your thoughts below, and thanks for following this dramatic saga.
