Jil Robinson, better known as Young Jock, shot to fame in 2006 with his hit song “It’s Going Down,” which had everyone buzzing. Since then, he’s released four studio albums. While his music may not be as popular as it once was, the former Bad Boy artist has continued to grab attention, mainly due to his dating history, which has been a focal point on several episodes of Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta.
“Who am I flirting with, Jock? You flirt with everybody! Hold on, Cena. Jo, are you the stylist or not?”
Today, we’re going to highlight some of the most chaotic moments from his rocky love life. Young Jock’s romantic journey began in his teens when he started dating a woman named Fatima Jester. Their relationship lasted about 14 years before he moved on and married a woman named Alex in 2001. The couple had three children together. However, in 2008, Fatima took Jock to court, claiming he owed her $2,000 in back child support for their seven-year-old son. Fatima told a news outlet that Jock was living large, driving around in a Bentley, a Benz, and two Range Rovers, and even owned a luxury car rental service. Despite this, she said he hadn’t provided any financial support for their son, leaving her in a difficult situation. Fatima also mentioned that Jock was so caught up in his celebrity life that she couldn’t reach him, and even her lawyers had trouble tracking him down to serve him with court papers. The outcome of the case remains unknown.
Jock and Alex’s relationship eventually lost its spark, leading them to go their separate ways, though they never actually divorced. When Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta hit the screens in 2012, a lot of Jock’s friends from the music scene, like Lil Scrappy, made appearances on the show. “Jo’s actually my cousin! But I only found that out from watching the show,” Lil Scrappy shared. Although Jock wasn’t initially cast, he was glued to the screen, taking in all the wild antics.
In 2013, Jock went to a spa, and the staff told him he’d have to share a double room with another customer. They assured him it was no big deal because the other person was also a celebrity. To his surprise, that celebrity turned out to be Karlie Redd from Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta. Jock later told VladTV that he recognized her immediately but was caught off guard by how different she seemed from her on-screen persona. They started hanging out, and before long, Jock admitted that after they got close, Karlie “let loose with her wild side and even wilder hair.”
While things were cooling down between Jock and Karlie, he began seeing two women named Cena and Carla. In a twist of fate, both women ended up pregnant at the same time, and each gave birth to twins, bringing Jock’s total to eight kids by four different women. “Yeah, ladies, stay clear if you’re not looking to have kids—he’s about as fertile as they come!” Even though he was still seeing Karlie, Jock admitted that she wanted more from their relationship, but he wasn’t ready to commit. When Karlie asked him to join Love and Hip Hop as her love interest, he agreed, thinking it’d be a great way to get his music out there.
“So, are you saying he just used her? Is that it? He saw an opportunity and took it? Wow, okay.”
In 2014, he joined the cast for Season 3, and things between him and Karlie quickly took a turn for the worse. Jock arranged for them to check out a house with a realtor named KD. Later, Jock admitted to VladTV that he never actually planned to move in with Karlie. When they arrived at the house, KD bluntly revealed that she and Jock had been hooking up, which led to a fight between KD and Karlie. After they were pulled apart, Jock and Karlie left. As they were about to drive away, Karlie started yelling at Jock, who then told her to get out of his Jaguar. Instead, Karlie waited for Jock to step out, then slid over to the driver’s seat and sped off.

“And I drove that off the side of the motherfing road, across the bridge, crashed that sh*! You in your car, child? Karlie crazy as hell!”
As Jock moved on with KD, eventually moving in together, his other baby mamas were not happy with the relationship. Cena accused KD of breaking up her family, and all of Jock’s baby mamas labeled KD as his sugar mama. KD defended herself, saying, “The show makes it look like I’m buying things for Jock and paying for studio time, but I haven’t done anything for him that he wouldn’t do for me in return.” Meanwhile, Jock told VladTV that KD was the kind of woman a man should marry. “This woman knows how to cater to a man of my caliber,” he said. To which one of his baby mamas fired back, “Of your caliber? What are you even talking about? With all these kids and drama, you’re out here talking about your caliber. You need to sit down somewhere! Caliber? That’s for dogs, right? So if the shoe fits, wear it! You calling yourself a dog? That’s what I heard!”
During all of this, Jock was still married to Alex. He told VH1 that Alex had plans to divorce him, but she put them on hold when he began filming Love & Hip Hop. According to Jock, “She didn’t want to appear as the ex-wife, so she delayed the divorce to stay on TV and say, ‘I’m still his wife.’ She did it for the money, not for attention, because you’re crazy if you think anyone’s dying to be your wife!” Eventually, Alex filed for divorce in July 2014, ending their 13-year marriage. TMZ reported that she told the court they had been separated since February 2012. This means Jock was still involved with Alex even after getting Cena and Carla pregnant and starting a relationship with Karlie. “So he was just hooking up with everyone, huh?”
In the divorce documents, Alex stated that she only earned $187.50 per month and asked for spousal and child support for their three kids. She cited adultery as the reason for the divorce. The divorce was finalized in August 2014. Meanwhile, Cena was doing everything she could to break up KD and Jock, hoping to get back together with him. “Why are all these smart, beautiful, educated women wasting their time on this guy? Is he really that impressive? I’m asking for a friend!”
By October 2014, it seemed like Cena had moved on. She signed up for a reality show called Baby Mamas Atlanta, Virginia, Denver, and Los Angeles, ready to expose Jock’s secrets. Jock told TMZ he would do whatever it took to stop her, saying, “I will sue her into oblivion if she even thinks about doing this show.” The producers didn’t seem worried and said the show was set to air in January 2015. It’s unclear if it ever did.
By July 2015, KD told VladTV that she and Jock were still together and things were going well, despite a pregnancy scare that some thought was just made-up drama for her Love & Hip Hop storyline. By the time Season 5 aired in 2016, Jock confirmed that he and KD had broken up. Then, in Season 6, after Jasmine Washington claimed Kirk Frost was the father of her child, Jock revealed that he might also be the child’s father.
“Man, these guys are just throwing asparagus everywhere!”
Later, Kirk confirmed that he was indeed the baby’s father. Back in 2017, Peter Thomas, recently divorced from Cynthia Bailey of Real Housewives of Atlanta, posted a picture of himself with Cena. After receiving backlash, he deleted the photo. Cena then went online to clarify that their relationship was strictly platonic, saying she had been good friends with Peter and his brother for 20 years.
“Girl, quit lying! You know you hooked up with Uncle Ben! He looks just like the guy on the rice box!”
By 2019, Jock had gone public with his new girlfriend, Kendra. According to Jock, they met four years earlier, which means his relationship with KD overlapped with all the other drama in his life. Kendra, who describes herself as a mathematician, attorney, and realtor on Instagram, left people wondering why she was with Jock. She told BET that for the first four years of their relationship, Jock was on Love and Hip Hop, and he grew tired of empty relationships on the show. Though she wasn’t interested in joining the franchise since she’s a corporate businesswoman, she eventually went along with it.
“So, is she saying she was with him while he was seeing other women, or is she confirming that the show is scripted?”
They moved in together and got engaged in 2019. The show continued to follow his lying, cheating, and womanizing ways. Karlie even told Kendra that Jock was still interested in her, and other cast members meddling in their relationship caused Jock to lose his temper. To avoid further drama, Jock revealed on The Brunch with Tiffany Podcast in January 2020 that he got Kendra’s name tattooed on the side of his private area.
“Wait, so is it at the base or on the side?”
Jock said that because of his past, the tattoo was his way of preventing women from claiming they slept with him. He added, “With my lady being an attorney, I knew that tattoo would be the key piece of evidence to prove if someone was lying.”
Then the pandemic hit. Jock was seen driving for Uber and later told TMZ that he wasn’t broke; he was just doing it to set an example for his kids and show them humility.

“Come on, there are other ways to teach humility that don’t involve driving for Uber!”
Despite his efforts to change, Jock continued with his antics, and Love and Hip-Hop cameras caught the drama when he introduced Kendra to a woman named Mya. Jock admitted to Kendra that he used to be involved with Mya.
“That sounds wild!”
Although Jock made it seem like their fling was over, Kendra later found out that Mya had been in the picture since 2008, when Jock was still married to Alex. Then, at Jock’s bachelor party, Karlie made a surprise appearance, and she and Jock shared a passionate hug.
“Karlie, please, just stop!”
Jock and Kendra got married in 2021, and just when fans thought they were finally settling down, Kendra revealed that Jock fathered a child with another woman during a break in 2019, making him a father of nine children by five different women.
“I guess that tattoo didn’t work, huh? A tattoo won’t stop anything! You control yourself, not the tattoo!”
Kendra later told her mom and brother that Jock had betrayed her, but they decided to work through it. “Why? That must be some serious love, because I don’t get it!”
During an online interview, Kendra called Jock out for trying to normalize his behavior of having so many children and creating broken homes. She also said she didn’t want his sons to follow in his footsteps.
In February 2023, she told BET that they bought their dream house and were spending more time getting to know each other. But by September 2023, his ex Carla was asking a judge to modify child support for their 10-year-old twins.
“Carla’s like, ‘Hand over those Uber checks!’”
Carla claimed Jock’s income had gone up significantly, but Jock denied making any extra money. The outcome of their disagreement is still unknown. Meanwhile, Kendra has threatened to divorce Jock several times, and their relationship issues have been laid bare on VH1’s Couple’s Retreat. In one episode, Jock mentioned that it felt like Kendra was ashamed of being with him because she couldn’t get past the criticism she faced for staying with him. Kendra admitted that she had once gotten pregnant by Jock but decided not to keep the baby. She also suggested he get a vasectomy, which Jock refused.
“Ninja, you need to go on and get fixed. It’s time, ninja, it’s time! Somebody call the vet!” she exclaimed.
Then, in June 2024, a blogger from Gossip in the City posted a video of Jock talking to an unidentified woman. The video was unclear, making it hard to tell if anything inappropriate was going on. After seeing the video, Jo shared on his radio show that Kendra had texted her mom, saying, “I’m divorcing Jil, Mom. A blog accused him of cheating on me, so I’m done.” During the same show, Jock explained that in the video, he was actually confronting the woman and trying to smooth things over after an incident involving her, another person, and Tamar Braxton.
“Tamar doesn’t need any help, okay? She’s got this!” Jock added.
Trying to control the damage, Jock posted a video of himself and Kendra on Instagram. He asked his followers to compare it with the one of him and the unidentified woman, writing, “This is what cuddling and holding hands looks like. Maybe I’m just dumb or something?” An online user replied, “Jo has nearly 20 kids; he’s a liability. I would’ve never dated a man like that, but you date at the level of your self-esteem.”
“Yeah, did she lie on me?” Jock responded.
At this point, fans are completely caught up in this drama. Do you think Jock and Kendra’s relationship is built to last, or is she just another bump in his road to fatherhood?
