While Ray J was entangled in a volatile relationship with singer Teairra Mari, Princess Love was reportedly working at a gentleman’s club. It was there she met former professional boxer Floyd Mayweather, who added her to his entourage.
After Floyd’s breakup with his fiancée Shantel Jackson, he made Princess his main girl, showering her with extravagant gifts. Ray J, who was part of Floyd’s crew, known as The Money Team, met Princess through his connection with Floyd.
She told Yahoo Lifestyle that during their initial meeting around 2013, Ray J was more interested in a magazine and didn’t even look up to greet her. However, when they met again, Ray J immediately felt she was the one.

In 2015, Ray J proposed to Princess without a ring, and she accepted. A few months later, during a trip to Arizona, he proposed again, this time with an 8-carat diamond engagement ring. Ray J revealed on The Breakfast Club that he kept the news private, not even telling his family, to protect their special moment. The couple married in August 2016, with Ray J telling People magazine he had reformed from his “little bitty cheater” ways and had been sober for almost a year. He expressed his commitment to giving up groupies, preferring to chill at home watching Netflix with Princess.
In a December 2017 appearance on Steve Harvey’s show, Princess declared her love for Ray J, calling him her soulmate and fighting hard to make him understand her feelings. Ray J apologized on the show for his infidelity during their relationship.
However, questions about Ray J’s ability to remain faithful persisted. In an interview with The Breakfast Club, Princess admitted, “No, I’m just saying, nothing behind my back. Oh, okay, if he wanted to do it, let’s do it together.” She also revealed on The Real that she had strict rules for their intimate moments, needing specific conditions like darkness and quiet to feel comfortable.
