Greetings, everyone, and welcome, I’d like to address a tragic incident that occurred at Travis Scott’s festival over the weekend. During his sold-out Astroworld Festival last Friday, a distressing turn of events led to the loss of eight lives and left 300 others injured.
Upon initially hearing about this, I couldn’t help but wonder: What unfolded? Reports reveal that the park was teeming with 50,000 attendees, with some witnesses describing the scene as densely packed, akin to sardines in a can. Attendees found themselves immobilized, struggling to breathe, and even passing out due to the overwhelming crush of bodies. Moreover, there were instances of people surging toward the stage, resulting in a stampede that left many trampled.

Adding to the chaos was Travis Scott’s encouragement for the crowd to “rage,” a trademark aspect of his performances. Those familiar with his shows understand the high-energy atmosphere he cultivates, where excitement runs high. Yet, amidst the fervor, critical safety measures were neglected. The sheer volume of attendees exceeded safe limits, creating a hazardous environment. Despite pleas from the crowd to halt the show, Travis Scott continued performing without heeding their concerns.
There were instances when he slowed down the performance, but never brought it to a halt entirely. There’s a particularly unsettling video where he continues singing while someone in the audience collapses. It’s disconcerting because it seems he’s oblivious to the distress of his audience. Additionally, there were reports of individuals in the crowd administering drugs to others. A security officer even felt a sharp sensation in his neck and lost consciousness upon examination. Narcan was administered to revive him.

“But I kid you, I kid y’all not, bro. As soon as Travis Scott started, like, as soon as he started, like, all the flame, the fly, the fire, the […], like the phoenix and all this […], and then he popped out started going crazy, and like, I’m telling you, as soon as he stopped going crazy, like the whole crowd started raging and everybody just screaming, ‘Help, help, help!’ Mind you, I’m sitting on top of the fence, so I’m looking down on everybody, and I’m seeing all [… ] happening, you know what I’m saying? I’m trying to pull people out. So, look, in the middle, it’s a VIP section, like different celebrities and people who pay like thousands of dollars to sit in the VIP section. I’m, mind you, I’m pulling people out and I’m trying to pull them into that VIP section. That’s where, like, people was pulling people in so they can breathe. So, the people in the damn VIP section, they getting mad, talking about, ‘You pulling people over here!’ And I say, ‘Man, this [… ]. These people about to lose their [… ] lives,’ you know what I’m saying? So, I’m helping people, I’m pulling people out, and like, it just felt like we was literally like in hell, bro. Like, it felt like we was in a concert in hell. You couldn’t breathe; you couldn’t see. Like, just imagine all the people they gonna find tonight who was in that crowd who nobody could see, who nobody could hear who passed out and everybody was just trampling on top of them the whole concert, like, in the VIP section. It was so many bodies laid out; people were getting pulled out who was fainted, and the people were trying, the medicine, trying to give them CPR, and they was flipping them over and like, they were literally turning black and blue. Like, I never seen no, I’ve never seen death in my [… ] life, bro. That was like some demonic [… ], and what was so crazy like people were screaming help trying to tell scrabble Trevor Scott it was like, ‘Help,’ the whole crowd was just going to, ‘Help, help, help,’ he just kept going, bro. After tonight, bro, like God really showed me, like, you know, like stay away from that, like, that’s not for you because like he sacrificed so many people’s lives tonight, like for real.”

So, that was one of the witnesses who was giving their account of what happened at the festival, and what he said was very, very telling. It definitely seems like there was some dark spiritual force taking over the festival. And I’m not trying to make this video a conspiracy video, but it’s not crazy to think that this was a sacrifice. I mean, the situation was very eerie to me, and what makes it so sad is eight people lost their lives, including some minors. There was a 14-year-old and a 16-year-old, and even a little 10-year-old almost lost their life. And that’s just really sad. And it’s also crazy that these young kids were even allowed in the venue. For their own safety, they shouldn’t have even been there. There should have been an age limit for that. But the whole thing is just really crazy.
Travis took to social media to address the tragic events that occurred, sharing his condolences and commitment to aiding the affected families. In his IG story, he expressed deep sorrow for the lives lost and emphasized his dedication to supporting those in need during this difficult time. He reiterated the importance of his fans and their well-being, pledging to prioritize their safety and ensure positive experiences at his shows. Travis affirmed his readiness to halt performances if necessary to assist anyone in distress. He expressed shock and disbelief at the situation and assured his followers of his cooperation with authorities to uncover the truth. Urging anyone with information to reach out to local authorities, he emphasized the need for unity and prayers amidst the devastation. Travis promised to provide updates and remain transparent throughout the investigation, concluding with a heartfelt message of love and support for his fans.

Upon viewing the video, I found myself perplexed by Travis’s demeanor, which appeared quite unsettling. Whoever advised him to address the situation via video probably didn’t consider how ineffective it would be; in my view, it only exacerbated matters. Travis appears disengaged from the gravity of the situation altogether. While I can’t discern his exact state, I can only imagine the immense stress he must be under, facing potentially serious legal ramifications.
Adding to the discourse, Travis’s partner and mother of his child, Kylie Jenner, also shared her thoughts on her Instagram story. She expressed profound sorrow and acknowledged the devastation they both feel. She extended her sympathy to those who lost their lives, were injured, or affected by the events, emphasizing Travis’s care for his fans and the Houston community. Kylie clarified that neither of them were aware of any fatalities until after the show ended, asserting that had they known, they would have halted proceedings immediately. She conveyed her deepest condolences to all affected families and pledged prayers for their healing during this challenging period.

When Kylie issued that statement, she faced backlash because she was present at the concert and even witnessed an ambulance in the crowd. She shared this on her Instagram story, indicating her awareness that something was amiss. While she may not have known the extent of the tragedy, the vibe of the crowd was evidently off. Travis also sensed that something was wrong but failed to respond appropriately, which makes him culpable. While it’s unfair to place the entirety of blame on him, the reckless behavior of some attendees also contributed. However, Travis must be held responsible for fueling the audience’s frenzy. Such behavior should be condemned, and it’s unlikely Travis will be able to perform in the near future. The loss of eight lives and injury of 300 individuals is a grave consequence of this chaos, ensuring Travis will face significant legal repercussions. This tragedy is a stark reminder of the need for tighter event safety measures to prevent such incidents from occurring again.
