Tia Mowry’s ex-husband, Cory Hardrict, recently opened up about their divorce, revealing the emotional toll it took on him. “I cried myself to sleep for a long time after Tia filed for divorce,” Cory shared. “It’s tough when you’re going through something alone, and no one seems to understand. As a Black man, you’re expected to be strong, but I spent a year and a half crying every night. Nobody sees that side of things.”
Cory spoke about the difficulty of being close to his children but feeling distant from them. “I live just five minutes away from my kids, and anyone who knows me knows that my family means everything to me. This experience has shown me that I’m stronger than I thought. By the grace of God, I’m still here and moving forward.”
Tia and Cory were together for over 20 years and married for 14 years before Tia filed for divorce two years ago. While the reason for their split remains unclear, it seems the divorce was amicable. Many believe they simply grew apart, and some speculate that financial dynamics played a role, with Tia being the primary breadwinner and having more opportunities in the acting industry.
Corey wasn’t entirely out of work, but he wasn’t landing many opportunities either. People need to realize that the acting industry is tough. Actors often don’t earn a lot, and finding gigs can be challenging. For a long time, Corey didn’t have the same success as Tia. When Corey met Tia, she had just finished the hit sitcom ‘Sister, Sister,’ while Corey was still a struggling actor in Hollywood without a big name or substantial income. However, Tia didn’t care about his financial status; she loved him for who he was and encouraged him to get serious with her. Corey hesitated because he wasn’t in a good financial position, but he eventually decided to marry her, confident that Tia truly loved him regardless of his money.
Corey shared, “Every Christmas or birthday, I felt the pressure mounting, especially last year before we got engaged. Tia was expecting something and dropped hints about our future, implying that if I wasn’t ready to marry, our relationship might not work out. She doesn’t date just for the sake of dating. I knew I had to marry her, but I wasn’t financially ready. I was scared and felt this was a serious step. But then I realized money isn’t everything. I decided to step up, make a move, and trust that God would take care of us. That’s the honest truth.”

I decided to get a ring. I didn’t have a lot of money, but I found a really nice one and thought, “I’m going to make this happen.” I was determined because I loved her, and she loved me. It felt real, and I believed we could make it work, no matter what people said. They might have wondered why I was marrying someone without much money, but I didn’t care. I was confident we could make it work.
At first, Tia seemed okay with the dynamic, but over time, she grew tired of carrying the weight. Maybe Corey got too comfortable, and she didn’t like that. I think she outgrew the marriage, as she put it, she graduated from it. She viewed the marriage as a curriculum that ended with graduation. She outgrew the relationship and sought something more. That’s my perspective, though I could be wrong. I do believe finances played a role.
Interestingly, since their divorce, Corey has been raising his profile in the acting industry. He’s part of the successful show “All American” on CW and appeared in the film “American Outlaws.” He’s currently working on a Tyler Perry film with Megan Good called “Divorce in Black.” Despite the emotional toll of the divorce, including crying himself to sleep at night, his career has flourished. He seems more focused now, which has benefited him.
It’s unfortunate that he and Tia got divorced, but they both appear to be healing and thriving. I wish them the best. Now, let me move on to the next topic because this one is quite interesting.
Reality star and rapper Stunna Girl has accused Ray J of allegedly taking Wendy Williams on a drug binge, which she claims led to Wendy’s current state. This accusation comes amid ongoing business disputes between Stunna Girl and Ray J. After leaving Ray J’s network, Tronics, to start her own, Red Room TV, Stunna Girl says Ray J has been publicly bitter about it.
In a fiery response, Stunna Girl told Ray J, “Stop clout chasing off me, bro. You’ve been on a podcast tour saying my name, trying to get clout off knowing Big Stunner. I own a network. You don’t even own any clothes. Thanks for your services, sir.”
She also made a shocking post, which was quickly deleted, stating, “Instead of constantly being worried about me, Ray J needs to focus on what he did to Wendy Williams. She ain’t been the same since you took her on that drug binge.” This statement has stirred further controversy, as photos of Ray J and Wendy Williams hanging out have surfaced, raising questions about their relationship.

Rumors have also resurfaced about Ray J’s alleged involvement with Whitney Houston. Some believe he was her drug supplier, as he was frequently seen with her. Leola Brown, Bobby Brown’s sister, even claimed that Ray J was Whitney’s drug connect and was with her before she died. She recalled, “I saw Ray J coming out of the hotel hiding his head being pushed into the car. Why? I looked and I said, ‘Why is he hiding? Why is he hiding his face? He’s always trying to show his face when he’s around Whitney. Why now? Why are you trying to hide now, Ray J?’ And I put it all together when I first heard she passed away.”
“I said, ‘Oh my God, someone gave her a bad bag of cocaine.’ That was the first thing I thought. Then I saw Ray J and everything clicked. I’m convinced Ray J, despite Whitney telling me they had no relationship, was involved. He was going around saying he was her boyfriend, but I know he wasn’t. Whitney said he was just a runner boy, probably connected to someone who sells drugs, and he was getting them for her.
I want to know why he was allowed to be around Pat and Gary, especially Pat, who was with her all the time. For Pat to claim she didn’t know what happened to Whitney is really disturbing. Leola has been very vocal about Whitney’s death, alleging it wasn’t just an overdose. Whitney had defense wounds on her body, indicating someone tried to harm her.
At first, there were rumors that drug dealers Whitney owed money to were involved. However, Leola believes Whitney’s sister-in-law, Pat Houston, and her brother, Gary Houston, played a role in setting her up to gain control of her estate. Leola also suspects they did the same thing to Whitney’s daughter, Bobbi Kristina, since both died under similar circumstances.
Leola claims Ray J and Nick Gordon were involved as runner boys who kept Whitney and Bobbi Kristina from being sober, making it easier to set them up. There’s also a conspiracy theory that Clive Davis might have ordered the hit, thinking Whitney was more profitable dead than alive.”
There are numerous conspiracy theories surrounding the deaths of Whitney Houston and Bobbi Kristina. Leola has often mentioned that Ray J played a suspicious role in these tragic events. She said, “Everyone wants to say, ‘Well, it was Clive that ordered it.’ And oh, that may be so, but I don’t have proof of that. I have proof of things that Pat Houston did, Nick Gordon, Gary Houston, Ray J. Ray J did something to my niece, and I’m going to tell you all about that. Yes, they were all involved. There were too many people running around that hotel doing things to my sister and my niece. I’m so sorry, you all, but it’s the truth.”
There’s also an old interview where Ray J spoke with Maxwell Billion about his relationship with Whitney. His response to whether Whitney was clean was bizarre and concerning: “She’s clean if I want her to be because every time you do her right, I always do her right. I always do her right before we were really right, you know, how long it took me to really make it right with her. Do you understand? What I could do? She would. I’m trying to tell you. Let me tell you, if Whitney, if she clean, absolutely until clean, ready, until, until if I want her to be. What? Okay, wait. Let’s turn this. Yeah, you know what I’m saying?” This confusing statement led some to speculate that Ray J might have been involved in Whitney’s life in a troubling way.

Recently, Stunna Girl accused Ray J of being involved in Wendy Williams’ struggles. Wendy has a history of substance abuse, and even during her documentary, she was seen drinking despite her health issues. While it’s a serious allegation to place blame on Ray J, some believe he might have been present during Wendy’s difficult times.
Ray J’s lifestyle, marked by partying and controversial actions, has caused a rift in his family. His sister, Brandy, reportedly no longer invites him to family events because of his behavior. It’s evident that Ray J needs to reevaluate his life choices before something serious happens to him.
