Megan Good seems to have completely moved on from Devon Franklin. After their divorce, she quickly started seeing Jonathan Majors and hasn’t looked back. Many thought she’d struggle to find love in Hollywood and might end up lonely, but Megan says she’s in a much better place now. She even credits Tyler Perry and Jonathan Majors for helping her get out of a dark period.

People have had strong reactions to Megan’s comments. While some are happy for her, others are uneasy about her connection with two men who have controversial reputations. This raises questions about what Perry and Majors saved her from and whether Majors is innocent of the domestic violence charges he faced last year.

The news of Megan’s relationship with Jonathan Majors caught everyone off guard, as no one knew they were involved. Megan seemed heartbroken after her divorce from Devon Franklin. Although she had a few casual flings, they weren’t serious. She claimed she was still healing from her nearly 10-year marriage to Devon. However, the timing was unfortunate because, just weeks after rumors of her dating Majors began, he was arrested for domestic violence against his ex-girlfriend, Grace.

She went public with Jonathan Majors during his trial, and things got messy when the details of the domestic violence case came out. Jonathan’s arrest in March 2023 caused an internet frenzy. The black community was particularly shocked because Jonathan had always been seen as a positive and loving figure. No one could have imagined him getting caught up in something like this.

The news of his alleged involvement in domestic violence was startling. He quickly hired a lawyer who released a statement: “Jonathan Majors is completely innocent and is likely the victim of an altercation with a woman he knows. We are gathering and presenting evidence to the district attorney, expecting all charges to be dropped soon. This evidence includes video footage from the vehicle where the incident occurred, witness testimony from the driver and others who both saw and heard the incident, and, most importantly, two written statements from the woman recanting these allegations.”

She added, “All the evidence shows that Mr. Majors is entirely innocent and did not harm her in any way. Unfortunately, this incident happened because the woman was having an emotional crisis and was taken to a hospital yesterday. The police had to make an arrest in these situations, which is the only reason Mr. Majors was detained. We expect these charges to be dropped soon.”

Jonathan’s public image took a severe hit, leading to almost everyone he worked with dropping him, including his talent management agency. Marvel didn’t cut ties with him right away, but it was obvious they were waiting to see how things would play out. Despite all this, Megan stayed by his side, ignoring the rumors. She was determined to stand by her man, even sparking rumors that they had secretly married after Jonathan referred to her as “the Mrs.” and said, “I’m just happy to be here and love y’all so, baby, you want to say anything?”

Megan responded, “Y’all heard the Mrs., so that’s what it is.” She supported him during his court appearances, often seen holding hands with him as they went in and out of the courthouse. She faced a lot of criticism for standing by Jonathan, given the serious accusations against him, but she didn’t waver.

The trial lasted two weeks, and many hoped Jonathan would be found not guilty. A video shown in court captured Jonathan running away from Grace after an argument in the car. However, a text message suggested he might have been abusive. Jonathan had texted, “I fear you have no perspective of what could happen if you go to the hospital. They will ask questions, and I don’t think you actually protect us. It could lead to an investigation. Even if you do lie and they suspect something.” Grace replied, “I will tell the doctor I bumped my head if I go. I’m going to give it one more day, but I can’t sleep and need stronger painkillers. That’s all. Why would I tell them what really happened when it’s clear I want to be with you? I feel like you want to be together to avoid embarrassing yourself after everything you’ve said to your friends and family.” Jonathan responded, “Last night, I considered taking myself out versus coming home. You said you needed love, and I put my feelings aside to give you that. I need love too, or maybe I’m such a monster and horrible man that I don’t deserve it and should just kill myself. This existence is miserable.”

Jonathan was found guilty, and the Manhattan District Attorney released a statement saying, “The evidence presented throughout this trial illustrated a cycle of psychological and emotional abuse and escalating patterns of coercion far too common in intimate partner cases we see every day. Today, a jury determined that this pattern of coercion culminated with Mr. Major and his girlfriend.” Many thought Megan would leave Jonathan after the verdict, but she continued to stand by him, showing she had her reasons.

While fans were busy criticizing Jonathan, he was actually helping Megan through a tough time after her divorce. They started off as good friends, and things gradually turned romantic between them. However, Megan revealed that not everyone supported their relationship at first. Many of her friends advised her to hold off on getting involved with Jonathan until his legal issues were resolved.

They said things like, “Why don’t you wait and see how his situation unfolds before jumping into a relationship?” But Megan chose to trust her heart. She explained, “I listen to my spirit and trust God. I consider the advice of those I love, but in the end, I have to live my life and be accountable for my choices. As long as I follow my heart, I find peace and harmony.”

Megan decided to follow her heart, and so far, her relationship with Jonathan is going strong. But Jonathan wasn’t the only one who made a positive impact on her life. Megan also credits Tyler Perry for being the first person in her career to pay her what she truly deserved.

Talking about this, she said, “Tyler Perry was the first person to pay me what I was worth, and that was a huge deal for me, especially after over 30 years in the industry. I actually cried because Tyler not only values and appreciates people, but he also goes out of his way to show it. He’s an angel, a genius, and an unapologetic leader who always pays it forward.”
“Oh, God, it’s amazing I found that out.” “Yeah, it felt right. He was like, ‘You deserve this,’ and I was already thinking in my head about what I was going to ask and if it was too much, you know? Then I talked to Jay, and he was like, ‘Absolutely not.’ I didn’t want to lose the job because I come from a generation where, back in the ’90s and 2000s, women were perceived a certain way if they asked for something or were assertive. So, even asking felt interesting because women still feel this way. A lot of us still do in 2024. But that’s what I love about Tyler—he said, ‘I was already going to give that to you.’ I thanked him and started crying.”

“The interesting thing is that Tyler has been accused in the past of not paying people what they’re worth. Remember the drama with him, Mo’Nique, and Oprah? He and Oprah refused to pay Mo’Nique a fair wage, and when she wouldn’t work for free, they blackballed her. Mo’Nique also exposed Tyler for spreading false rumors about her. It’s been sketchy for a while. But with Megan saying he paid her well, it looks like Tyler has changed and no longer blacklists Black women for asking for a fair wage.”

Fans commented, “Tyler’s going to take care of his people. The wigs might look crazy, but your pockets are good.” “I wish people would leave Megan and Jonathan Majors alone. They’re two adults choosing each other. Whether it lasts or not, it’s their life.” “Megan and Jonathan make a great couple. I hope the media shows us more Black love.” “Personally, I think she did great. Jonathan probably felt like he had the weight of the world on his shoulders, and Megan was there for him, spreading positivity during probably the roughest time in his life.”
