Hey, everyone! Welcome. K. Michelle isn’t holding back when it comes to Blac Chyna’s venture into music. On the latest episode of Love & Hip Hop Hollywood, K. Michelle expressed her frustration upon learning that Blac Chyna was pursuing a singing career.
“What’s going on? So, I’m in the studio with Blac Chyna, and she tells me she wants to dive into music,” K. Michelle recounted. “Sure, I get it, but hold on, does she understand the grind? This industry doesn’t just hand out opportunities. Music is a lifelong battle. You don’t just stroll in without proving yourself. Last resort? Let me tell you, I’ve faced setbacks. Just last year, I performed for my fans in a wheelchair. So, forgive me if I’m not keen on indulging in discussions about these so-called artists. Music isn’t a joke to me; it’s how I survive.”
That’s K. Michelle’s take on Blac Chyna’s music aspirations. And did she speak the truth? Well, it’s hard to argue otherwise. K. Michelle may have her quirks, but one thing’s for sure: she’s got talent and a deep love for her craft.

When it comes to Blac Chyna, her venture into music seems more like another avenue for hustling. She’s currently embarked on a journey reminiscent of Keyshia Cole’s trajectory, showcasing her personal life, including a tumultuous relationship with her mother, much like Cole did in her reality show. With her existing fame, platform, and fan base, dropping a record could easily propel her to the forefront of the music scene, provided the music holds up. K. Michelle’s apprehension stems from seeing someone not deeply invested in music potentially surpassing her own efforts. While it’s understandable to question Chyna’s motives, if she genuinely possesses musical talent and commits to it seriously, she deserves a fair chance. Shifting gears, Megan Thee Stallion recently clinched her first MTV Video Music Award for “Hot Girl Summer,” hailed as the best power anthem, a victory earned through fan votes. Despite this, Charlamagne Tha God expressed skepticism, questioning how she could win without an accompanying video for the song.
“I’m curious about something. I asked a question earlier, but what you showed me was a statement. Megan Thee Stallion didn’t win for “Big Ole Freak,” she won for “Hot Girl Summer.” It seems unlikely, but it’s true. She clinched the Video Music Award, defeating contenders like Ariana Grande’s “7 Rings,” Khalid and Cardi B’s “21 Savage,” Halsey’s “Nightmare,” Lizzo’s “Tempo,” Taylor Swift’s “You Need to Calm Down,” Miley Cyrus’s “Mother Daughter,” and Maren Morris’s “Girl.” I get that people want to be cool about it, but seriously? Best video? Anyway, congrats to her. Let’s hope the video lives up to MTV’s hype.

It’s funny, though. We’re talking about giving out Minority Report Awards here, but we all knew how awesome the video was even before it dropped. And then Megan Thee Stallion responded on Twitter, saying, “To those questioning how we won a VMA, it was for a soft power anthem. The people voted, hotties here, pull.” Nicki Minaj chimed in, saying, “And what about it? Thank you guys for voting ‘Hot Girl Summer.’ We love you.” Megan was also in disbelief about collaborating with Nicki, calling her “one of the greatest to ever do it.” Nicki graciously responded, “Thank you for having me on this song and congrats on your first VMA, mama.” So, they shared a nice moment on Twitter, indirectly responding to Charlamagne, or should I say Leonard, for his smug comments about their win.”
I’m not sure why he seemed so pleased about it, but I’d wager that if it were someone else he genuinely liked, like Cardi B, he wouldn’t have made that remark. He wouldn’t have reacted in that manner. But because it involves Megan and Nicki, he’s bothered by it. That’s my take. Additionally, Charlamagne might harbor some feelings because Nicki is featured in the song. They have a history; Nicki has accused Charlamagne of being critical and has confronted him on-air before. Charlamagne also claimed Nicki once tried to get him in trouble with his superiors over comments he made on his show. Given this history, it’s unlikely Charlamagne would show much enthusiasm for anything involving Nicki. But, in the end, the fans voted, and the award was given for the song itself, not the music video. So, they won fair and square. Moving on, let’s discuss Bobby Lights. He was quite the spectacle at the VMAs, wasn’t he? All that posing and strutting, particularly to catch Lil Nas X’s attention. Bobby has been quite persistent in pursuing Lil Nas X since he came out. It’s evident in how uncomfortable Lil Nas X appears in videos with Bobby. It’s clear he’s not interested, but Bobby keeps pushing. Anyway, shifting gears, let’s talk about Cassie. Congratulations are in order because Cassie is engaged to Alex Fine! Their engagement video was adorable, with Alex proposing on his ranch. It’s wonderful to see her find happiness, especially as she’s expecting her first child. It just shows how much life can change when you let go of negativity and embrace what makes you truly happy.

Well, Cassie and Diddy were together for a whopping 11 years, but sadly, it seems like that relationship was more about heartache, pain, cheating, and possibly even a few unwanted souvenirs in the form of STDs. Dealing with Diddy must have been incredibly stressful for Cassie. However, she’s found love elsewhere now, and that’s definitely something to celebrate. I recall her sharing her journey on Instagram, expressing how transformative the past year has been for her. She emphasized finding comfort in her own skin, establishing routines, and reclaiming her power by saying no when necessary. Letting go of things not meant for her was a big part of her growth too. It’s inspiring to see her embrace balance and self-empowerment. Congratulations are in order for Cassie and her soon-to-be husband, Alex Fine. What do you all make of this situation?
