People are buzzing about Offset getting caught trying to hook up with Ice Spice, and honestly, it’s a bit awkward to watch. It’s like Offset’s cheating is becoming a full-time gig, and I’m cringing for Cardi B. Ice Spice is known for stirring up trouble and throwing shade, and she’s definitely doing that now. She just dropped a track that not only disses Cardi but also exposed Offset’s DMs. Cardi, being Cardi, didn’t take this lightly. She’s notoriously protective of her marriage and dragged Ice Spice, calling her out for being a hater. Cardi even hinted that she might go all out, either with a diss track or something more extreme.
I was pretty surprised by Ice Spice’s diss, especially since it seemed like they were on decent terms. Sure, there were a few issues in the past, but nothing major. It felt like another case of fans creating drama where there wasn’t any. Last year, there was some buzz about Cardi shading Ice Spice during her Summer Jam performance. Cardi was the headliner, and there was already some drama leading up to the show. People thought Cardi was targeting Ice Spice with some of the visuals in her performance, which featured someone in a similar outfit to Ice Spice’s viral look. This led to rumors that Cardi was throwing shade, especially given the ongoing Nicki Minaj vs. Cardi B rivalry.
At the time, Ice Spice was getting support from Nicki Minaj, who signed her and featured on a track with her. Cardi, meanwhile, was working with Lotto, which some saw as a jab at Nicki. So, it’s not surprising that fans connected these dots and saw this latest drama as part of the bigger feud.
Cardi B recently faced backlash after it seemed like she was shading Ice Spice out of nowhere. People were quick to accuse Cardi of being a coward for denying the shade, even though it looked pretty clear. Cardi had a caricature of Ice Spice in the same outfit she wore on Instagram while rapping “Tomorrow 2” and singing “Annie” before transitioning into her song. This led many to believe Cardi was taking a jab at Ice Spice, who had always shown her support.
But it turned out to be a big misunderstanding. The visuals Cardi used were actually inspired by Little Orphan Annie from the movie, which featured the song “Tomorrow.” Cardi planned to use these visuals to transition into GloRilla’s “Tomorrow 2.”

Since Ice Spice often gets compared to Little Orphan Annie because of her orange curls, it’s understandable why some thought Cardi was throwing shade. Cardi quickly set the record straight, saying people were just trying to stir up drama. She criticized the haters for being messy and annoying. Cardi has shown support for Ice Spice before, even defending her against accusations of being an industry plant. Even with Nicki Minaj’s support for Ice Spice, Cardi’s love has been consistent. It’s good that she cleared things up before any resentment could build and lead to unnecessary drama.
It looks like Ice Spice isn’t ready to return the favor Cardi B gave her. Ice Spice dissed Cardi out of the blue, and while you might think it’s because she’s tight with Nicki Minaj, that’s not the case. In fact, Ice Spice and Nicki aren’t even on good terms anymore. They had a fallout after Ice Spice’s friend called her out for pretending to be a Nicki fan while actually not liking her. Since then, Nicki and her fans have distanced themselves from Ice Spice. So, Ice Spice’s shade at Cardi isn’t related to Nicki.
What’s wild is that just a few weeks ago, Ice Spice and Cardi B were hanging out. Then Cardi had an issue with influencer Raymont, who she felt was making insensitive comments about her heritage. Cardi tweeted, “I asked why you feel comfortable calling me Mexican when other Dominicans like Jerel Jerome and Zoe Saldana aren’t treated the same way. You do it to me because you know it’s something that hurts me.” Ice Spice replied, “No offense B, it’s because I have a Dominican parent and a Black one.” Cardi cleared things up by saying, “I think there’s been some confusion. I asked why he calls me Mexican when my mom is Trinidadian and my dad is Dominican. I’m Dominican like you, and often we get lumped together because of language.”
Ice Spice then posted pics of herself with Cardi from a Vanity Fair event, making it seem like they were cool again. But then, out of nowhere, Ice Spice dropped a diss track aimed at Cardi. In her song “BB Belt,” she raps lines like, “He got to be, but he know I won’t tell. I’m a bad bitch, ask how she felt. I’m a bad bitch, ask how you feel. And I’m thick ’cause I don’t miss a meal. And I’m thick ’cause I don’t got a waist. Think she pretty, but changing her face. Falling behind like, ‘We pick up your pace.’ It was funny ’til I took her place. Her man calling, but I be like, ‘Who this?’ I’m a switchy B, I really do this. Light skin, but I’m Black; you can tell by my hair. I get money, B, I’m a millionaire.’”
This whole situation seems pretty over the top, and it’s pretty obvious that she was throwing shade at Cardi. Just a few days after Cardi’s drama with influencer Paradise Paris, who criticized her for her plastic surgery, Cardi defended her choices. She said, “When I get surgery, it’s for me, not for anyone else. I love the Vixen look. I’ve worked hard on my body, and it’s not about a man. It’s funny how some people always bring up a man when they have nothing else to say. But let’s be real—my DMs are full of messages. You talked about me, and now you’re upset because your stomach looks like a wedding cake.”
Cardi also added, “You talk about hard titties, but they’re always in someone’s mouth. You look like a Gummy Bear, and your shape is a joke. You should be embarrassed. I’d rather risk surgery than look like you.” And it’s clear that when she mentioned her man, she was talking about Offset, who’s known for his cheating scandals. Recently, he was even caught trying to hit up Ice Spice through DMs.

Given his history of cheating, it wouldn’t be surprising if this rumor turned out to be true. But Cardi B definitely didn’t take it well. She went off on Ice Spice, saying, “These people have completely lost their minds. I’m going to get my revenge on my album. None of you can match me in numbers or status. You have way too much time to catch up. You can’t compete with me in money, real estate, fashion, or even in person. I’m not in a rap race with any of you, and I’ll prove it. I’m done with all the hate towards my marriage, my album, my surgeries—everything. I’ve had too many haters recently, and I’m over it.”
Some are speculating that Ice Spice is trying to pull a Megan Thee Stallion move. Remember how wild things got when Megan dropped “HS” earlier this year? She threw shade at Nicki Minaj, and Nicki spiraled on social media, which helped “HS” debut at number one on the Billboard Hot 100. Fans are wondering if Ice Spice is trying to do the same thing by targeting Cardi’s surgery and marriage. People are saying, “Ice Spice can’t rap, but she’s not afraid to start drama. Why is she dissing Cardi when Cardi has done nothing to her? Lotto didn’t do anything either; Ice Spice started beef with her for no reason. It seems like Ice Spice is always picking fights with other female rappers to stay relevant. First it was Lotto, now Cardi, and all Cardi does is get pregnant and rant on Twitter. Ice Spice is missing the mark. I hope Abar calls her out next, especially for that Rob 49 feature.”
