Offset is cheating on Cardi B again, and this time he got caught trying to link up with Ice Spice through DMs. It’s getting embarrassing, especially for Cardi. Ice Spice, known for her messy drama, just released a song dissing Cardi B and exposing Offset’s attempt to connect with her. Naturally, Cardi didn’t take this lightly. She’s notorious for fiercely defending her marriage. She went off on Ice Spice, calling her a hater. Cardi made it clear she’s not backing down. So, does this mean she’ll get physical with Ice Spice, or will she finally record a diss track in response?
I have to admit, I was really surprised when Ice Spice dissed Cardi B because everyone thought they were on good terms. They’ve had their issues in the past, but nothing too serious. It seemed like another classic case of fans being petty and stirring up drama between the two for no real reason.
But last year, things got tense when Cardi B was accused of shading Ice Spice during her Summer Jam performance. Cardi was headlining the event, and there was already a lot of drama before her performance even started. It got worse with Ice Spice because people felt Cardi was bullying her on stage. During the show, the background visuals showed an image that looked a lot like Ice Spice. The main reason people thought it was her was because the outfit in the visuals matched what Ice Spice wore in her viral video where she rapped Cardi’s verse in “Tomorrow 2.”
When Cardi performed this song, the visuals in the background again seemed to depict Ice Spice. Cardi’s line, “Ready New York City,” was interpreted by fans as a dig at Ice Spice. It’s easy to see why people thought that, especially considering the ongoing beef between Nicki Minaj and Cardi B. At the time, Ice Spice had Nicki’s backing—Nicki had signed her, called her the “princess” of rap, and even collaborated on a song with her. Meanwhile, Cardi had just worked on a track with Lotto, which many saw as a diss aimed at Nicki. So, yeah, it wasn’t hard for people to connect the dots.

Cardi B faced a lot of criticism for seemingly shading Ice Spice. People were saying things like, “It’s obvious Cardi B is shading Ice Spice, but she’ll still come here and deny it because she’s a coward.” The controversy started when Cardi included a caricature of Ice Spice in her set, wearing the same outfit Ice Spice wore in an Instagram story where she rapped “Tomorrow 2” and sang “Annie.” Many saw this as a jab at Ice Spice, who had only shown Cardi love.
However, it soon became clear that this was a big misunderstanding. There was no drama at all. The visuals Cardi used were actually of Little Orphan Annie—you know, from the movie with the song “Tomorrow.” She used these visuals because she was planning to sing “Tomorrow” as a transition into her track with GloRilla, “Tomorrow 2.” Since Ice Spice often gets compared to Little Orphan Annie because of her orange curls, it made sense why people thought Cardi was throwing shade.
But Cardi quickly denied any shady intentions and called out the haters for trying to create drama.
Then you guys wanted me to stir up drama with the song. Seriously? Come on, cut it out. Get a mop, because you’re being too messy and it’s annoying. I believe her because Cardi has shown a lot of love to Ice Spice in the past. Remember when she defended her against people calling her an industry plant? People might think it’s because the labels are putting money behind them, but the truth is, the labels support the artists people are actually listening to. Even after Nicki started supporting Ice Spice, Cardi didn’t change up or start throwing shade. Cardi’s always shown love, and it’s great that she cleared the air before any resentment could build and lead to another rap beef. Unfortunately, it seems Ice Spice isn’t going to give Cardi the same grace. She dissed Cardi out of nowhere.
You might think Ice Spice threw shade at Cardi because she’s siding with Nicki Minaj, but let’s be real. That’s not it. The real issue is that Nicki and Ice Spice aren’t on good terms anymore. They had a fallout after Ice’s friend exposed her for pretending to love Nicki while secretly hating her. After this drama, Nicki and her fans cut ties with Ice Spice. So no, her shade at Cardi wasn’t about Nicki. What’s crazy is that just a few weeks ago, Ice Spice and Cardi B were on good terms. Then, Cardi had a beef with influencer Raymont, thinking he was insulting her heritage. She tweeted, “I asked you why you feel comfortable calling me a Mexican when I and Jerel, Jerome, Zoe, and Alana are Dominicans, and you don’t do that to them? You do it to me because you know that’s what people used to hurt me.” Ice Spice replied, “No offense, B, it’s ’cause I have a Dominican parent and a Black one.” Cardi clarified, “I think there might be some confusion on what was said. I asked why he feels so comfortable calling me Mexican. I have no Mexican parents. My mom is Trini; she came out of a whole Black woman. My father is Dominican. I’m Dominican just like you. I also used other Dominicans as an example because, as you should know, a lot of times we get clustered into one because of the language.” Also, “Can you send me that pic you took of me with your camera from Vanity Fair? Thank you.”

Ice Spice posted pictures of herself and Cardi at the event, giving the impression that everything was good between them. But then, out of the blue, Ice Spice released a diss track targeting Cardi, catching everyone off guard. It was a shocking twist. In her song “BB Belt,” she rapped:
“He got to be, but he know I won’t tell. I’m a baddie, ask how she felt. I’m a baddie like ask how you feel. And I’m thick ’cause I don’t miss a meal. And I’m thick ’cause I don’t got a waist. Think she pretty but changing her face. Falling behind like we pick up your pace. It was funny ’til I took her place.
Her man calling, but I be like, ‘Who this?’ I’m a switchy, be I really do this. Light skin but I’m Black, you can tell by my hair. Hair, hair, hair. I get money, be I’m a millionaire.”
All this drama was definitely unnecessary, and it’s obvious she was trying to shade Cardi. Just a few days ago, Cardi had a clash with influencer Paradise Paris, who criticized her for getting plastic surgery on her face and body. Cardi defended herself, saying, “When I get surgery, baby, it’s not for any man. I do it because I love the Vixen look. I got my curves and my soft breasts before I even met him. You always bring up a man because you can’t find anything else to criticize. That’s not a gag because men are lined up in my DMs. You talked about me and now you’re mad because your stomach looks like a wedding cake.” She also added, “Talking about hard breasts? They never were. They’re always in someone’s mouth. You look like a Gummy Bear, a Flintstone vitamin shape. You lurk and you’re ashamed. I’d rather die on the surgery table than look like you.”
And that comment about her man was clearly about Offset. Everyone knows he can’t stay faithful, and not long ago, he was exposed for getting his side chick pregnant. Now it seems Offset has been sliding into Ice Spice’s DMs, trying to hook up.
Given his history of cheating, it’s not surprising that people might believe this rumor to be true. However, Cardi B didn’t take it well and lashed out at Ice Spice. She said, “These bees have absolutely lost their minds. I’m getting all my licks back on my album, though. Each one of you bees can’t see me in numbers or status. Y’all have way too much time to catch up. Can’t see me in money. Can’t see me in real estate, fashion, and can’t see me in person neither. I’m not in a rap race with none of you bees, and I’mma show y’all.”
Cardi is clearly fed up with people criticizing her marriage, her album, her surgeries, and everything else she does. She’s faced numerous haters in recent months and is tired of it.
Some people believe that Ice Spice is trying to pull a Megan Thee Stallion move. Remember how the internet went wild when Megan dropped “HS” earlier this year? She threw shade at Nicki Minaj, causing Nicki to spiral on social media. The drama helped “HS” debut at number one on the Billboard Hot 100. Fans speculate that Ice Spice might be trying to provoke a similar reaction from Cardi by targeting two things that really get under her skin: her surgery and her marriage.
Fans have been saying things like, “Ice Spice might not be the best rapper, but she’s fearless when it comes to dissing people. She’s so messy—what did Cardi ever do to her? And Lotto didn’t do anything either. It seems like Ice Spice starts beef with other female rappers just to stay relevant. First, it was Lotto, now it’s Cardi. And all Cardi does is get pregnant and rant on Twitter. Girl, you’re dropping the ball. Now, every girl thinks she’s on the same level as you. Ice Spice’s diss shouldn’t even get to you. I hope Abar comes for you next for that Rob 49 feature alone.”
