Hey everyone, it’s getting way out of hand with the Halle Bailey and DDG situation. Halle Bailey is absolutely fed up. They’ve been together for over three years now, and you’d think people would accept their relationship by now. But nope, the hate has been constant from the beginning. Things hit a new low when fans started mocking their baby, Halo. Halle and DDG finally shared some pictures of Halo, and the hateful comments came flooding in. This really upset Halle, and DDG went off on those criticizing his son.

It’s a pretty messy and sad situation, so let’s break it down. The main reason for the hate is DDG’s goofy behavior, which sometimes makes Halle look bad. The drama really picked up in 2023 when DDG tried to make it seem like Halle had cheated on him. He unfollowed her on Instagram and tweeted, “All these girls the same Ain’t No Way.” He got a ton of backlash for this, and stayed quiet while people attacked Halle. Later, he claimed he was just joking, saying, “The internet is so G. Nobody cheated on Nobody, by the way. Don’t take my tweets too seriously, y’all take life too seriously. We all going to die at some point anyway. Let’s try to have fun while we’re here.”

And don’t even get me started on how he started acting all messy around the release of her new movie, ‘The Little Mermaid.’ On the day of the premiere, he tweeted, “Should I watch the cartoon of ‘The Little Mermaid’ before I watch the live-action version or just watch the new one? I’ve never seen it.” He also said, “And don’t be this real movies things.”

Things took a turn for the worse when we discovered he was throwing shade at Halle’s co-star, Jonah Howard King, on social media. The internet was buzzing about Jonah and Halle’s fantastic chemistry and how they’d make an adorable couple if they ever took things to the next level. Well, DDG decided to log into his burner Twitter account to tweet, “They really think this man has the willpower to take DDG’s girl? He’s not him.” People confirmed it was his burner account by finding an old tweet where he asked followers to follow it.

But if you think that’s bad enough, it gets worse. He released a song called ‘Famous’ where he admitted feeling jealous of Halle and her success. From the very first verse, he jumped straight into it, saying, “Filming a movie, now you kissing dudes, I don’t care if that’s for promo, I don’t want to see that, it’s no-go.” “Why are y’all holding hands in the photo? You know I’m insecure, that’s a no-no.” “Want to leave you but I’m too attached.”

The second verse was even more damaging. He accused her of cheating with her male co-stars and admitted to trying to sabotage her moments in the spotlight. He said, “I’ve been so insecure that I’ve been thinking you’re really sleeping with the men you’re making movies with. I might just tweet something to ruin it. I have a platform, and I’m abusing it. There are a couple of things about your job I want to know.”

“When you’re shooting your movie, do these men turn you on? When you leave the set, do you still text each other?” Things got even messier when DDG’s ex, Ruby Rose, exposed him for texting her behind Halle’s back. The drama began when Halle posted a video of herself at DDG’s place, and Ruby claimed that the clothes Halle was wearing in the video were hers. She tweeted, “Having your girl in my clothes is crazy.” To make it clear she was referring to Halle, she followed up with, “I like Halle, but DDG is a weirdo for sure.” Ruby alleged that she and DDG had both attended a party hosted by Young Miami, and he tried to make moves on her. She tweeted, “He’s mad I wouldn’t go home with him after Karisha’s party.”

DDG responded, saying, “Super cap. I’m not pressed over you. Don’t believe anything she says. She’s been stuck on me for 2 years, she’s hurt.” Ruby then clapped back, revealing that he had been texting her behind Halle’s back. In one of the texts, she said, “You’re hitting me up the day you argue with her. It’s so you.” To which he replied, “You’re right. Let me go here first.” Despite the backlash, DDG dismissed it, saying, “Halle is fine. She knows what’s real. We hashed this situation out days ago.”

Ruby was just chasing clout, but she wasn’t finished exposing DDG. She said, “You call me every time you see me with a new man, talking crap about them. I’m single because I don’t put up with that BS, and you know it. That’s why you went to the calm girl who will tolerate it.” Fans thought Halle would leave DDG because of the embarrassment, but she made it clear she was sticking with her man through thick and thin. She tweeted, “The devil is working. Please don’t feed into the lies, especially from a third party. Stay blessed, everyone.”

Halle was determined to stand by her man and her relationship no matter what. Soon after, she got pregnant and had a baby boy named Halo. DDG managed to redeem himself in the eyes of fans with all the cute content he posted with the baby. He seemed like a good dad, and fans began to wonder if they had judged him too harshly. He also seemed to be spoiling Halle, going all out for her at Christmas last year, including getting her a Birkin bag.
Their relationship seemed to be going well, and they were even seen as “couple goals.” But things got rocky when he admitted to sending a text to Ruby Rose, despite previously accusing her of photoshopping it for attention. To make matters worse, he revealed that he sent the text right in front of Halle during a fight. He explained, “It was like a screenshot she posted of me DMing her. Yeah, we were dating, but we were going through a rough patch, so I was just being petty. I did it in front of her and had no intention of actually meeting up with Ruby. People thought I was sneaking around, but that’s not the case. I knew she would post it; that’s just who she is.”

Despite the embarrassment, Halle stuck by him, showing her love and resilience. She made it clear that she wouldn’t let the internet dictate her actions. After the birth of their child, Halo, Halle and DDG decided to keep him private. When they finally shared his face a few days ago, the internet, true to form, had mixed reactions. Some haters left nasty comments, criticizing the baby’s appearance. Halle was upset, and DDG responded fiercely, defending his son.

“I’ve seen some broke, dirty, and disrespectful comments about my son on Instagram. It makes me so angry. But I have to remember that my son is living a better life than those haters. He’s been around the world at just six months old, while these people are probably still living with their moms. If you’re a decent person and my words describe your situation, I mean no harm. I’m talking to those who talked crazy about my son. Keep that negativity online because it’s irrelevant in real life.”

Fans responded with mixed opinions, some advising, “Stop posting your children if you expect only positive feedback in a negative space. You can’t have it both ways. Develop thicker skin. Your child is not the first to face criticism, and it won’t be the last. No, it’s not right, but it’s reality.”
DDG knew this would happen, and that’s why he and Halle kept their baby off the internet for so long. While I don’t agree with adults or anyone else commenting on an innocent baby, the parents have to take some responsibility. I’ve never felt the need to defend him before, but I get it—if people talked about my innocent baby, it would probably bring out the worst in me too. He’s just a baby, after all. This whole situation is a mess. I want to know what you think about it. Drop your thoughts in the comments below
