Greetings, everyone!. Recently, during the Atlanta Falcons game, Tii and Tiny found themselves in a confrontation with their son, King Harris. King has been fervently pursuing a music career of late, embodying a persona that suggests a tough upbringing. He endeavors to portray himself as someone acquainted with the streets and the hardships that come with it. He often references being raised by his grandmother, seemingly implying neglect from Tii and Tiny. Moreover, he seeks to distance himself from the notion of being born into privilege, although the reality contradicts this claim. With Tii’s successful rap career yielding millions and Tiny’s accomplishments in music and reality TV, King undeniably enjoyed a privileged upbringing. However, his attempts to project a narrative of struggle prompted Tii and Tiny to intervene, reminding him that his reality was far from the hardships he tries to depict. They asserted that his visits to his grandmother’s were more about indulgence than necessity, challenging his narrative of adversity. This formed the crux of their recent dispute.
“Out here, let me inquire: Have you ever awoken to find a cockroach on your face? Full stop. No, that’s not the desired outcome.”
“Okay, continue. I’m not sure what you’re referring to.”
“In the neighborhood.”
“Do you want to go? Do you want to attend the neighborhood gathering? Do you want to join the event? Do you want to come to the Bando? You know how they say, ‘You want to be born with a silver spoon?’ Like, my son was born with a genuine Tiffany silver spoon. What does it mean to be born with a silver spoon? What I’m trying to convey is, he just wanted to make himself look better. He claims to know, it’s not a real silver spoon. I’ve never eaten with that spoon, not even once in my life.”
Let me tell you something. I’ve never eaten with that before in my life. You don’t even know what you’re eating with. Hold on a second. I had to go to my grandma’s house because I was getting into a fight. You act like a child going to your grandma’s house. You think you’re protecting your neighborhood. I don’t want to be stuck behind these gates. I want to be out in the neighborhood. That’s where I belong, but they don’t get it. Let me tell you why he wants to be there. You ready? Because he can act like a baby over there. He’s 12 years old, still acting like a baby. They’re trying to say I was there trying to cause trouble, but they won’t tell you everything. They’re sugarcoating it like babies. I can tell you why there are no kids in your neighborhood. I’m out there by the green box, living it. Stop pretending like you never had to check things over there. Stop acting like we never had to go over there and handle things. Don’t mess with me. He’s lying. He knows I mean business. Nobody can ever question my integrity. Drop me anywhere, and I stand my ground. I’ve been consistent. You want to hide it? I’ll put it out there for everyone to see.

I wouldn’t be hiding anywhere. You never had me hiding behind the Mansion. I was out there doing what I wanted. You’re trying to make a big deal out of nothing. Someone drank too much. Let’s go, man. You’re mad because we say the South isn’t the suburbs. Then you want to talk about being real. No, you’re lying. Stop pretending. I know you. Shut up. Yeah, I know you. I know you. What’s wrong with you guys? Why are you doing this to me? You know I mean business. Why would you let someone mess with me like that? It’s not a joke. You’re embarrassing yourself and your family. Get lost. You can’t touch me. There’s nothing you can do. So, hopefully, you made it through that clip. It was chaotic, all over something trivial. But I think there’s a deeper issue behind this argument.”

Firstly, I want to address my perspective on King Harris, whom I perceive as behaving like a spoiled individual. While it’s important to note that T and Tiny weren’t entirely faultless, as they engaged in mocking behavior towards him, I still find King’s demeanor to be rather unpleasant. The manner in which he communicates with his parents comes across as disrespectful in my view. It’s clear that there are better ways to express oneself without resorting to rudeness. King has always been somewhat of a wildcard, known for his rebellious nature, even exhibiting mischievous behavior on their reality show. Although initially viewed as entertaining, such behavior has lost its charm. A specific incident at a restaurant, possibly Waffle House, stands out in memory, where King spoke derogatorily to the staff, displaying a sense of entitlement and superiority. His dismissive attitude and threats towards them were unwarranted and reflect poorly on his character. Instances like these exemplify King’s insufferable personality traits, characterized by entitlement and brattish behavior.

However, it’s essential to acknowledge that Tii and Tiny also bear some responsibility. While they undoubtedly did their best to provide for their children amidst their demanding schedules, there were instances where King may have been neglected. Entrusting him to his grandparents’ care, where he had relative freedom and lacked significant structure or guidance, likely contributed to his unruly behavior. This lack of direction may have influenced his desire to pursue a career as a “struggle rapper,” seeking validation from peers he associated with during this time. Additionally, the allure of street life, influenced by his father’s rap career and admiration for artists with similar backgrounds, may have further fueled his aspirations. Ultimately, King’s actions appear to stem from a deep-seated need for validation and a perceived sense of neglect from his parents.

Similarly, King’s sister, Zique, echoes sentiments of feeling overlooked by their parents due to their busy schedules. She recalls spending much of her time at her grandmother’s house, shuttled back and forth for filming of the family’s reality show. Despite the outward portrayal of a close-knit family unit, behind the scenes, there seemed to be a disconnect, with children feeling the absence of their parents. Tii’s daughter, Deja Harris, has also spoken out about her struggles within the family dynamic, particularly regarding her relationship with her father. Instances such as Tii’s controversial comments regarding her virginity and her subsequent mental health struggles highlight the complexities within the family.

While it’s evident that Tii and Tiny care deeply for their children and strive to provide them with opportunities, their imperfect parenting has undoubtedly left a mark. The discrepancy between the public image of a harmonious family life and the reality of strained relationships and personal struggles among the children is evident. It’s essential to acknowledge the complexity of familial dynamics and the impact they can have on individuals, even those in the public eye. Your thoughts on this matter are welcomed and appreciated.
