Hey, everyone! Today, we’re talking about Lizzo and her recent fitness journey. A lot of people are cheering her on as she’s been working out and shedding some pounds. And honestly, I think it’s fantastic to see someone taking charge of their health.
There’s been some buzz that Lizzo might have been inspired by a recent South Park episode. And here’s a funny twist—I’ve actually been mentioned in that episode! It’s a bit surreal and honestly, kind of scary. I’m going to do a blind duet with it right now. Let’s see how it goes!
Here’s a snippet from the episode: “I’m telling you, Sheila, there’s this new obesity drug for those who can’t afford OIC and Manjaro. I’ve been controlling all my cravings with Lizzo Lio, FDA-approved. Lizzo makes you feel good about your weight.”
After seeing this, I noticed Lizzo started posting more about her workouts. She’s always been active thanks to her dancing, but now her weight loss seems more noticeable. I don’t think it’s just the South Park episode that’s motivating her—seems like Lizzo might be rebranding herself.
A few months ago, I made a video where I suggested that Lizzo should consider rebranding and moving away from her body positivity image. Back then, her career was struggling, especially after being sued by her former dancers who accused her of body shaming and creating a toxic work environment. Since then, things haven’t been the same for her. It became clear that many people were more interested in what Lizzo represented rather than being true fans of her music.

Now, things have shifted. People are more focused on weight loss and fitness trends, so Lizzo’s body positivity message doesn’t hit the same way it did a few years ago. I think Lizzo is starting to get that. She seems to realize that her artistry wasn’t really being valued for itself but was being used to push a body positivity agenda. When people moved away from that trend, her career took a hit.
Even with the controversies, Lizzo hasn’t managed to bounce back like some other artists might. So now, she’s changing things up. She’s focusing on her health, getting in shape, and using her weight loss journey to promote her clothing line, Yeidy, which is part of Fabletics. It looks like she’s putting on her business hat and realizing that there’s an opportunity in promoting a healthy lifestyle.
I think this change is really helping her brand and reshaping her image in a positive way. I’m glad she’s finally stopped letting herself be used to push a specific image. It was never about her weight for her; she just wanted to be accepted for who she really is. Her weight became a big focus, and while she initially tried to incorporate it into her brand, it backfired. Instead of appreciating her artistry, people just fixated on her weight.
Despite her incredible talent, Lizzo didn’t get the same level of respect as artists like Adele or Jazmine Sullivan. Adele and Jazmine can fluctuate in weight, but their talent keeps them respected because their music is what truly matters. They never made their weight a part of their brand.
Lizzo, on the other hand, did make her weight a central part of her brand, which led people to focus more on her appearance rather than her talent. I really hope this rebranding will help people pay more attention to her amazing skills.

On a different note, I have to say: Sexy Red has taken things too far with her new makeup line, “Sexyy Red’s Gross New Makeup Line.” The names of her lip glosses are honestly disturbing: “Coochie Juice,” “Booty Hole Brown,” “Nut Pee Hole Pink,” “Yellow Discharge,” “Garia Blue Balls,” and “Sex on My Period.” I get that this might fit her persona, but it feels excessive and pretty gross. A bit more class and subtlety would be nice. This is just way over the top.
I see what she’s doing—using shock-value marketing to get attention for her lip gloss. And it’s working. People are talking about it, and some will definitely buy it. But honestly, if you do, that’s pretty questionable. This whole thing feels pretty tacky, but what can you expect from someone like Sexy Red? She’s known for pushing the envelope with the most outrageous stuff, and honestly, I’m kind of over getting outraged by her. It’s up to us to just tune her out. She’s clearly targeting a very specific, and very small, audience. Most of us aren’t interested in wearing lip gloss with names like “Yellow Discharge” and “Garia.” It’s just gross.
And people are not impressed. The backlash has been intense. Here’s what I’ve seen: “This is so forced and disgusting. I can’t stand her or her team. This is just awful and feeds into harmful stereotypes. Sexy Red is bad for the youth. Out of all the names you could have chosen, this is what you went with? It’s so lowbrow. Are there age restrictions for this? Who’s even buying this? It’s sad to see it marketed to kids. Too many young women look up to her, and it’s troubling to see her used like this. I wouldn’t buy lip gloss called ‘Garia’ from a discount store. I thought it might be a gimmick, but now I’m convinced it’s just a scam. A lot of people think Sexy Red is part of an experiment—used to push negative messages to young people. She’s giving a false image of Black women. Most Black women don’t act like her, and honestly, I don’t even think she acts like her public persona. It feels like she’s forcing this whole character, and it’s getting old. But she’s not the only one; many entertainers push similar messages. So it’s not just her. I think her lip gloss should be marketed to a more adult, unconventional audience. Sexy Red isn’t for kids, and her products shouldn’t be on mainstream shelves. They should be sold in more adult-focused markets where they belong.”
So, Doja Cat and Joseph Quinn are officially a thing! They were recently spotted around London, holding hands and being super cute together. It’s great to see things work out for her, especially after the whole drama with her crush on Joseph.

Remember when Doja Cat publicly gushed about Joseph and even slid into Noah Schnapp’s DMs? Noah, who’s Joseph’s co-star from Stranger Things, thought it was funny and shared their messages with everyone. This led to quite an embarrassing situation for Doja, especially since she was in a relationship at the time and Noah was only 17.
Doja tried to call Noah out afterward, but that didn’t go over too well. People thought she should have just reached out to Joseph directly. Despite all that drama, it looks like her persistence paid off in the end. So, a big congratulations to Doja Cat for finally getting her man!
