Rapper Offset was seen at Kanye West’s album listening party in Miami last night, hanging out with a new girl who happens to be a model. Despite their issues, Cardi B has reunited with Offset for Christmas to keep things smooth for the kids during the holiday. But why is Cardi taking him back after just a few weeks? We all thought she was finally going to end things for good after his affair with Jade. There’s a rumor that Offset got Jade pregnant, and Jade isn’t staying quiet. So, we finally know why Cardi B was flipping out on social media the other day. For those who missed it, Offset has been spotted hanging out with Jade again. Jade is the bartender Cardi allegedly sent some guys to attack at her job. They supposedly threw hookahs at her and her sister. Cardi even went to court over it, had to pay a fine, and do some community service.
Now, it looks like Cardi has taken Offset back, less than a month after calling him out and announcing their breakup. Honestly, I’m not surprised. This is pretty on-brand for Cardi. It’s the third time in about six years that she’s announced their split, only to take him back shortly after.
Their first breakup was in 2017 when she hinted at it by saying, “Single, bad, rich. I do the controlling.” While everyone was trying to figure out what that meant, rumors started flying that they split because Offset couldn’t stay faithful. Word on the street was that Cardi had enough of his cheating and dumped him to avoid more drama. But just when everyone thought it was over, Offset surprised us all by proposing to her during a Philly concert in October 2017.
We were all there, oohing and aahing over the proposal. Several sources claimed that the reason Offset went all out with the proposal was that he had cheated on Cardi, and the $500,000 ring was his way of apologizing. Plus, he made sure to do it on stage, knowing Cardi wouldn’t say no in front of the crowd. But here’s the twist—they were already legally married at the time.
So, why would Offset propose? Maybe he was desperately trying to apologize and win her back. Cardi lashed out at TMZ for leaking their wedding certificate, writing, “There are so many moments that I share with the world; then there are moments that I want to keep for myself. Getting married was one of those moments. Our relationship was so new, breaking up and making up, and we had a lot of growing up to do. But we were so in love we didn’t want to lose each other. One morning in September, we woke up and decided to get married. We found someone to marry us, and she did, just the two of us and my cousin, and I said I do with no dress, no makeup, no ring.” She also said that Offset’s on-stage proposal wasn’t because he cheated but because he wanted her to have that special moment. “I appreciate and love my husband so much for still wanting me to have that special moment that every girl dreams of when he got down on his knee and put a ring on my finger. He did that for me,” she said.
“Now since you little nosy F’s know, at least y’all can stop saying I had a baby out of wedlock.” But that wasn’t enough. In the six years they’ve been married, she’s had to defend Offset’s cheating over and over again. Remember how I said Cardi was scared of Offset embarrassing her and making her look bad in public? Well, her worst fears came true multiple times. She had to defend him every few months, and it only got worse after they got married because he probably mistook their marriage license for a license to cheat. It’s not right what he did, but people don’t know what I did ’cause I ain’t no angel.”
But it was never enough for Offset, and Cardi B got mocked on social media because of his actions. It seemed like she couldn’t do anything without people bringing up Offset’s multiple infidelities and the fact that she stayed with a man who cheated on her repeatedly. He wrote, “Social media is a powerful tool, but certainly no place for family situations. However, our youth, specifically my son’s wife, doesn’t understand that. She seems to want to take everything to social media without considering the devastation it has on others, past, present, and future, or specifically what it does to the other children. My son is not innocent as he has done his share of dirt, but the whole scenario is a never-ending drama session, fueled by jealousy, envy, insecurities, psychological issues, and drugs. Like most young adults, he doesn’t always do what he’s advised to do, but we’re talking about a 25-year-old with an unlimited supply of money, women chasing him, people at his disposal, etc. Couple that with a hot-headed female who thrives off of social media attention and is on the same financial level as or above him, and it’s a recipe for disaster.”
Y’all, that man really should have stayed quiet because his son was the one at fault. There was no reason for him to go blaming Cardi. It’s obvious he doesn’t hold Offset accountable for his actions, which is why Offset keeps acting up. Even Tasha K got involved, clowning Cardi after spilling some exclusive tea about Offset cheating. She posted a video of a woman claiming that Offset had snuck her into his home with Cardi. The woman said, “I’ve known Offset since 2013 up until last year. This is at their home in Atlanta and Hollywood. That’s my daughter’s bed I’m sitting on in the camera.” Tasha kept trolling Cardi, posting a collage with the caption, “Which one of y’all doll faces will actually, for real this time, leave Offset for cheating? Any word on if Offset brought that white woman into that baby’s bed yet?”
