Cardi B just went on Twitter Space a few minutes ago and called out Joe Budden, saying he’s obsessed with her and her upcoming album. She also threw some serious shade at Nicki Minaj, calling her old and bringing up some drama from 2019. I’ve got the clip for you to hear it yourself.

Here’s what I think: Cardi B, why are you dragging Nicki Minaj into this when you’re talking about Joe Budden? It feels like you’re always throwing shade at Nicki, even though she never does that to you. It’s starting to look like you’re a bit obsessed. I’ll let you all listen to what Cardi B said about Joe Budden and her album.
What’s that stuff called? I’m so tired of addressing people, but honestly, it feels like Joe Budden is becoming weirdly obsessed with me. I don’t know if it’s with my album or what, but he’s constantly criticizing me, and it’s really frustrating. It’s like, bro, leave me alone.

When my fans harass me for my album, I understand it—they genuinely want my music. Some of my rivals might pretend to hate me, but they actually enjoy my music too. I get why they do it. But Joe Budden? I don’t get it. He keeps claiming he has a source at Atlantic telling him about my album, which is a lie.

He said that if Atlantic doesn’t drop my album, they’ll release it for me. That’s impossible because I don’t send my music to anyone. Only two people have my music: me and my engineer. None of my A&Rs, my manager Tubby, or anyone else has it. I just don’t send my music out to anyone.

Second, you always claim you have a source at Atlantic. You’re lying. There are probably around 400 people who work at Atlantic, right? I don’t know for sure, but I only talk to a few people, and I’ll tell you who they are. I work with two A&Rs: Daryl and Johnny. I don’t deal with any other A&Rs. I don’t let anyone send me ideas or hooks. My day-to-day interactions are strictly with Daryl Jones and Johnny. In the Atlantic team, I only communicate with Julie Greenwald, the president, and sometimes with Kaiser, the vice president. For marketing, I talk to Mara and Craig Calman. Those are the main people I deal with. I don’t talk to random employees. I also talk to my publicist at Atlantic, Ashley, but we mostly discuss covers and organizations, not music. So, whoever you claim to have as a source, you’re lying. You’re lying because I move like a ghost. If something’s coming out, I know who said it because I only talk to four or five people. Do you think I’m just going around talking to everybody? Do you think my meetings involve 30 or 40 people? No, it’s four or five people. So, you’re not getting information from me.

Every five or six months, you compare another female rapper to me. You compare new artists, old artists, every artist to me. If you love these people so much, why aren’t you talking about their albums? Why aren’t you discussing what they do? You always compare females to me, saying my worst records beat their best records. Every single time. I can only imagine how you put down the people you date because you’re always comparing me to someone. I don’t care about any of these people. I don’t care what anybody else is doing.

But here’s my question: if you love them so much, why aren’t you worried about their album? Why aren’t you concerned about what they’re up to? Why are you always so focused on what I’m doing? Let’s be real: you’re not actually interested in my album because you want to listen to it. If you did, you could easily come to my studio session. TT Torrez, the director of Hot 97, has heard my album. She reached out to me, she DMs me all the time asking to hear what I’ve got. If you really wanted to hear my album, you could do the same. But you don’t want to hear it. You just want my album to come out so you can criticize it. Every time I drop a record, you have something negative to say. Whenever someone else puts out something mediocre, you act like they’re doing better than me. Every. Single. Time.

In December, I was going through a really tough time with my husband. Yet, you claimed I was using my issues for publicity because of another person. Do you really think I have a baby daddy boyfriend? No, I’m in a marriage. And guess what? Those issues didn’t benefit either of us. It wasn’t about any kind of gain. I was just fed up with some things. My marriage was on the rocks, and you called it a publicity stunt. Shut up. You don’t even know me.

Everything I do, whether it’s my personal life or my music, you always have something bad to say. But then you pretend to be so eager for my album. No, you’re not eager for my album. You’re eager to criticize it, to tear it down, to talk trash about it. You never compliment me. When was the last time you said something nice? You were so quick to interview someone, calling her interesting, even though she almost drove me to suicide in 2019.
Someone with a lot of lawsuits isn’t exactly a role model. So why are you always talking about my album and pretending you have connections? You don’t. Even my family doesn’t know about my business. My album, the merch, the box sets—they’re all in motion, and you have no clue what’s going on here. Let me tell you something: my fans sometimes find out things, but even they don’t know much about my album. So how do you know? You’re always talking about someone at Atlantic Records. That’s a lie. I only talk to the bosses, and they’re not gossiping about my stuff. Leave me alone. Seriously, just leave me alone.

It’s so crazy. This is the same person who gave me one of my first interviews. Is it because I used to give this person lap dances and now he’s upset that I’ve become so successful? I don’t get why I keep getting harassed by this guy. Do you want an interview? Do you want to hear my album that badly? If so, you could come to my studio session. But I’m sick and tired of you talking about me, pretending you care when all you do is tear down everything I do—my singles, my personal life, everything. It’s not genuine. So stop. Leave me alone. What do you want from me? What do you really want from me?

Because you’re not going to lie and say you just want the album. No, you just want this. You criticize everything I do. You compare me to older artists, newer artists—everyone. You don’t compare new artists to new artists or old artists to old artists. It’s always about Cardi B. If you think I’m such a terrible, lazy artist, why is my name always in your mouth? Constantly. Leave me alone. I ignore you, yet you keep trying to provoke me. You said I did something with my husband for publicity back in December, and you keep lying about me. You don’t know anyone on my team. My team is smaller than my butt, and my butt is small. That’s why no one knows what’s going on with my music. I’m being harassed by someone chasing clout.

There are so many other artists you could talk about—Drake, Kendrick, whoever you claim to love so much. But no, even when I’m not in the public eye, you still talk about me. Other female artists are dropping albums and projects, but you focus on me. If you want to hear the album so badly, come to New York. I’m not going to get you touched or go to jail. TT Torrez heard my stuff. Just pull up.

It’s constant, man. Leave me alone. I don’t bother anyone, and I don’t want to go back to my old ways of cursing people out. I only do that with my fans because we have a relationship. What does that mean?
