It looks like Taylor Swift might be losing favor with the public, and some people think her association with Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds could be a big reason why.
She was at the Super Bowl recently, and when the cameras panned to her, the entire stadium started booing. Now, I talked about this in my last video, and I figured the boos were mostly coming from the MAGA crowd—especially since Taylor has openly supported Kamala Harris. Plus, some football fans are just tired of the constant attention on her, her relationship with Travis Kelce, and the Chiefs in general. At this point, it feels like people are over both Taylor and the team.
But another major reason why people are turning on her? Her friendship with Blake Lively. And from what it looks like, Taylor is now trying to quietly distance herself from the situation.
For those who don’t know, Blake Lively is currently caught up in a messy legal battle with her It Ends with Us co-star and director, Justin Baldoni. This movie was really Justin’s passion project—he directed it, got the production team together, and worked hard to bring Colleen Hoover’s bestselling book to life on the big screen.
At first, Justin was excited to have Blake on board because she’s a big name, and her involvement could bring major attention to the film. But behind the scenes? It turned into a nightmare.
Blake—and her husband, Ryan Reynolds—allegedly started bullying and intimidating Justin, taking control of the entire project. She wanted script changes, blew through $600,000 on wardrobe alone, and even tried to take over the film’s editing—something that was supposed to be Justin’s job as the director. Sources say she wanted to be the one running the show and making all the major decisions, just to boost her own importance.
Blake Lively recently opened up about how she struggled to express her creative ambitions in Hollywood. In meetings, she often felt like she was just expected to show up, act, and look the part—without being given real input. She admitted that she wanted more control over storytelling, from writing to costume design, but she didn’t always make that clear. As a result, when she did assert herself, it might have come across as overstepping, since that wasn’t what she was hired to do.
But behind the scenes, it sounds like Blake didn’t just want a say—she demanded it. According to sources, she pushed hard for changes on her latest film, and director Justin Baldoni gave in to a lot of her requests. She allegedly used her influence to get her way, running complaints up to Sony, threatening to drop out, and even refusing to promote the movie if things didn’t go how she wanted. On top of that, she reportedly leveraged her close friendship with Taylor Swift to pressure Justin into agreeing with her.
One of the biggest clashes happened over a key rooftop scene in the movie. Blake wanted to rewrite it, but Justin didn’t want to change the script out of respect for the screenwriter. That didn’t stop her from pushing, though—she even sent Justin a text implying she could be “flirty and yummy” to persuade him. Given that both of them are married, it definitely raised some eyebrows. Justin wasn’t interested, and some believe that rejection may have caused tension between Blake and her husband, Ryan Reynolds.
Blake eventually got an unexpected assist when Taylor Swift dropped in on one of her meetings with Justin and praised her version of the script. At that point, Justin probably felt like he had no choice but to agree. After all, both Blake and Taylor had major pull—Blake as the film’s lead, and Taylor as a key contributor to the soundtrack. He didn’t want to step on any toes, even if he saw how Blake was taking control of the project.
Apparently, Blake has a habit of using her connections as leverage. She allegedly referred to Taylor and Ryan as her “dragons,” comparing herself to Daenerys from Game of Thrones and calling Taylor her “gorgeous monster.” The message was clear: with Taylor in her corner, Blake could make or break careers.
But Taylor was not happy when she found out how Blake had been throwing her name around. Reports say she was especially upset to learn that Blake told a young actress that Taylor was the reason she got cast—when that wasn’t true at all. While Taylor may have had some influence behind the scenes, Blake exaggerated just how much.

Now, Taylor is distancing herself completely. She made that clear at this year’s Super Bowl, where she was spotted with Ice Spice and other friends—but not Blake. Last year, Blake was by her side at the event, but this time, she was noticeably left out. And considering how public Taylor is with her friendships, it was a clear message: Blake can’t use her name for clout anymore.
Looks like this friendship might be over for good.
Taylor Swift Doesn’t Play About Her Reputation—And She’s Quick to Cut People Off
If there’s one thing Taylor Swift takes seriously, it’s her reputation. The moment she feels like someone in her circle is a threat to her image, she has no problem cutting them off—fast. Some might see it as cold or calculated, but at the end of the day, that’s how she’s managed to protect her brand.
But let’s get into the real drama—Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds’ alleged mistreatment of Justin. This whole situation is a mess. Blake was so determined to get her way that she nearly ruined Justin and his team in the process.
She made a series of wild accusations, including claims that she was being sexually harassed and fat-shamed. One of her biggest allegations? That Justin asked their personal trainer about her weight. But the truth is, Justin has back issues and just wanted to make sure he didn’t overexert himself during a lifting scene. Blake, however, twisted it into something else entirely.
She also accused Justin of barging into her dressing room while she was topless and breastfeeding. But sources say she was the one who invited him in to talk about wardrobe changes—and she was fully covered the entire time. Still, she made it sound like he was creeping on her.
And she didn’t stop there. Blake also accused the film’s producer, Jamie Heath, of showing her an inappropriate video. In reality, it was a short clip of his wife after childbirth—meant to help Blake prepare for a birthing scene. But once again, she spun the narrative to make it seem like something disturbing.
Like… how do you even sexualize a woman giving birth? That’s just weird.
Things only got worse from there. During a meeting, both Blake and Ryan reportedly went off on Justin, berating him in front of everyone. Witnesses were stunned, saying they had never seen anyone get spoken to like that before. And Ryan didn’t stop there—he even mocked Justin in Deadpool & Wolverine.
Blake allegedly tried to erase Justin’s name from the film credits and turned the entire cast against him. At the movie’s premiere, she and Ryan even made Justin and his family sit in the basement.
So why did Justin put up with all of this? Because Blake had him in a chokehold. She never signed a contractual agreement to promote the film, so she kept threatening to boycott or sabotage it if she didn’t get her way.
Eventually, Justin opened up about how much this entire experience drained him. In an interview from back in November—after all the chaos—he admitted he was struggling:
“This morning, I sent a text to my best friend Jamie and the president of my company, Terara, and I told them I wasn’t in the best place. I told them I was exhausted, that I hadn’t given myself time to recover or heal. This past year was a lot—material success, but also a ton of emotional stress. It was really hard on me and my family. I woke up at 4:30 a.m. feeling anxious, my heart racing. And when I checked in with myself, I realized I hadn’t taken the time to heal.”

You could just see the exhaustion on his face. The man looked completely defeated.
But here’s where karma starts to kick in. During the It Ends With Us press tour, Blake started getting dragged in the media for her bad attitude—and she hated it. So what did she do? She blamed Justin.
She ran straight to The New York Times and accused him of spearheading a smear campaign against her. She even doubled down on the sexual harassment accusations, claiming he had been touching her inappropriately.
But Justin wasn’t having it. He clapped back, making it clear that he never did anything outside of what was explicitly written in the script. And if you look at raw footage from one of their scenes together, Blake doesn’t look the least bit uncomfortable. She actually looks completely fine.
That interview sparked a nasty legal battle. Justin has since filed a $250 million lawsuit against The New York Times for libel and another $400 million lawsuit against Blake, Ryan, and their publicist, Leslie Sloan, for defamation and extortion.
And Justin came with receipts. He exposed Blake’s lies, leaving no doubt about who was in the wrong.
At this point, it’s obvious—Blake and Ryan have finally been exposed for who they really are.
Liars. Manipulators. Narcissists.
And now, they’re facing the consequences.
