Fans in Uproar as Rihanna’s Hair Care Line Faces Comparisons to Beyoncé’s Sacred Collection
Beyoncé’s fans are expressing frustration after Rihanna announced her new hair care line, sparking immediate comparisons to Beyoncé’s Sacred hair care collection. Some believe Rihanna copied Beyoncé, but Rihanna has been developing her products since March 2021. In contrast, Beyoncé’s Sacred line was trademarked in 2022, with teasers released in May of the same year. It seems both stars coincidentally launched hair care lines around the same time, rather than competing directly.
Beyoncé’s venture into hair care aligns with her brand, leveraging her iconic hair for passive income. Meanwhile, Rihanna’s expansion into hair care complements her established presence in the beauty market, including makeup, skincare, and perfumes. Despite this, Beyoncé’s fans, known as the Beyhive, are upset by the favorable reception to Rihanna’s campaign compared to Beyoncé’s.
Beyoncé faced criticism over her natural hair care line due to her frequent use of wigs. To address this, she showcased her natural hair in a campaign, even filming a hair tutorial to persuade skeptics. Conversely, Rihanna hasn’t faced similar scrutiny, which has fueled the Beyhive’s discontent. One fan remarked, “This B talking about being a female rapper, you ain’t no fing female rapper.” Another said, “Rihanna, this is weird. Beyoncé just released a hair care line; it’s not selling. But why not let it be? You’re always trying to ruin her businesses. It’s really giving, ‘You want her man.'” Another added, “Beyoncé wears wigs to protect her hair and experiment with looks, yet faces criticism for Sacred. Rihanna does the same and is praised.”

The tension highlights the fierce loyalty of both fanbases and the high stakes of the beauty industry.
Headline: Rihanna’s New Hair Care Line Ignites Debate While Disturbing Allegations Against Producer The Dream Surface
Rihanna is launching a hair care line just a few months after Beyoncé, and it’s causing quite a stir. Many people criticized Beyoncé’s hair care line, pointing out that she often wears wigs. However, Rihanna doesn’t seem to be facing the same kind of scrutiny. Some are calling this hypocrisy, suggesting that the backlash against Beyoncé is unjustified. The Beehive (Beyoncé’s fanbase) is understandably upset, and they do have a point. It’s interesting to see how social media has reacted more favorably to Rihanna’s product compared to Beyoncé’s. While I support Rihanna’s new venture, I do think she should also show a hair tutorial, just as Beyoncé did. As a savvy businesswoman, I’m sure Rihanna will meet this standard.
Switching to a more serious matter, alarming accusations have been made against the producer The Dream. Shanz Mangr, an artist known as Shanny Monroe, has filed a lawsuit accusing him of domestic violence and sexual assault. Monroe, who was once under his guidance, claims that The Dream exploited her, treating her more like an escort than an artist. Interestingly, the same lawyers who represented Cassie in her case are now representing Monroe, suggesting they have substantial evidence. The lawsuit details horrifying incidents, including being locked in a studio, intoxicated, and coerced into non-consensual acts, which The Dream allegedly recorded and used to threaten her. Monroe’s claims highlight serious issues within the industry, underscoring the need for justice and protection for all artists.
She came from the Netherlands, but The Dream convinced her to stay in the States, where he controlled every aspect of her life. To him, she was little more than a pleasure tool. She truly believed he cared about her career and could make her a star. He always said, “I can make you as big as Rihanna and Beyoncé,” and she believed him, falling into his trap and enduring nothing but trauma.
It’s now being revealed that he allegedly used his business to fund a trafficking operation. The Dream signed artists to his label, Contra Paris, but they had no idea they were being exploited for something else. What’s even more shocking is that Contra Paris was co-founded by The Dream and Jay-Z, presented as an art-focused label. But according to the lawsuit, The Dream was using it for his twisted purposes. Contra Paris was under Epic Records, and some executives there turned a blind eye to his behavior towards Shanny. When she told A&R Erica Counter about what The Dream was doing, Erica didn’t do anything to help.
Things got even worse for Shanny when she was dropped by Epic Records because The Dream refused to turn in her project. He kept her under his label for the remainder of her contract, wasting all her efforts. She suffered severe mistreatment and never got the chance to become the star he promised she would be. His promises of opening for Beyoncé and writing big hits for her like he did for Beyoncé and Rihanna never materialized.

The Dream was reportedly manipulative, using Beyoncé and Rihanna to control Shanny. He would tell various stories about them, and one such account reads:
“Dream knew how much Miss Mango admired Beyoncé as an artist. He regularly leveraged this admiration to manipulate her, claiming his success with Beyoncé was due to a ‘sanctuary’ they created together, a bond stronger than marriage because it was about art. To be part of this sanctuary, Miss Mango had to share all her secrets and become his trust partner. Dream boasted about knowing Beyoncé’s pregnancy before Jay-Z and reminded Miss Mango to be grateful for his collaboration, as he was prioritizing her over Beyoncé’s album. He insisted that for Miss Mango to reach Beyoncé’s level of success, she needed to be closer to him than Beyoncé was, seeking his advice, relying on him as her main confidant, and limiting her inner circle to his approved people. Dream promised to share his success formula with her, making her and Beyoncé the only two artists with such secrets. He often compared Rihanna and Beyoncé, suggesting Rihanna was vying for his attention and resented his focus on Beyoncé. He claimed Rihanna begged for good records, but he reserved them for Beyoncé due to their special sanctuary bond. He told Miss Mango that Rihanna sent him flowers and gifts, emphasizing how fortunate Miss Mango was to work with him instead.”
Dream often highlighted that he could make any new artist successful, but he chose Miss Mango, expecting her to respect him accordingly.
In one of their early text conversations, Dream asked Miss Mangr about her virginity, mentioning that Rihanna had shared similar details with him. He suggested that artists he worked with often shared personal information. Through manipulation and coercion, Dream led Miss Mangr to believe that if she let him control every aspect of her life, they could create the ultimate ‘sanctuary,’ surpassing anything he had accomplished with Beyoncé or Rihanna. When Miss Mangr questioned what he meant by ‘sanctuary,’ Dream would give vague responses like, “I’ll let you know after we win 10 Grammys together; for now, you just need to be free and let me undress you emotionally so I can see what’s inside your heart.”
For a new artist, the idea of becoming the next Beyoncé or Rihanna was incredibly tempting, and Miss Mangr was willing to work hard to make her dreams come true.

This whole situation is just weird and creepy. What does Dream mean by saying he created a ‘sanctuary’ with Beyoncé? What does that even imply? It’s so bizarre. I know Dream works very closely with Beyoncé; he’s collaborated on many of her projects, including her latest album “Cowboy Carter,” and he’s deeply embedded in Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s inner circle. He co-founded Contra Paris with Jay-Z, which was a joint venture. Even though this lawsuit doesn’t directly target the Carters, it should raise concerns because it’s hitting uncomfortably close to home. First, Diddy was exposed, and everyone knows Jay-Z and Diddy are very close. Now, someone from Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s inner circle is being exposed. This doesn’t look good.
Some people believe Jay-Z might be the next one exposed. I don’t know. But I hope that if something significant happens, Beyoncé is prepared to leave. Beyoncé, you can’t get caught up in this because people will say you were complicit. You need to be ready to exit because these exposes seem to be gradually closing in on Jay-Z, and it’s not looking good. I’m just saying it’s not looking good.
