Did Kevin Hart Turn His Back on Dame Dash for Jay-Z?
Dame Dash is back at it again—this time, he’s calling out Kevin Hart for allegedly cutting him off and switching sides to Jay-Z.

“The minute he got to a certain level, he stopped calling,” Dame said.

“I didn’t realize Puff [Diddy] had so much control over people,” Dame said. “It’s a tight-knit circle. They keep their secrets. And all of a sudden, people who were cool with me just stopped—like Kevin Hart.”

First, Cat Williams called him an industry plant. Then, rumors of him cheating on his wife resurfaced. On top of that, an old friend exposed him for allegedly lying about an extortion case. And let’s not forget the videos of him partying with Diddy—something the internet hasn’t let go of.

One example he pointed out? The time Kevin paid for a billboard to promote his 2015 movie Get Hard. But it wasn’t just the self-promotion that caught Dame’s eye—it was the image on the billboard.
Kevin was pictured braiding Will Ferrell’s hair.
“Look, I wouldn’t braid another man’s hair on a billboard,” Dame said. “I don’t care if it’s Will Ferrell. I wouldn’t do it. That’s just me. He’s done things I didn’t raise him to do. But, you know, he has a different kind of comedy.”
Dame then opened up about his own struggles in the industry, saying he’s had a hard time securing funding for his projects because he refuses to take what he calls “Devil’s money.”
“People steal my ideas all the time, but they know if I had the money to bring them to life, they wouldn’t be able to copy me. So I have to go out and raise money myself.”
He also reflected on how ahead of his time he was, adding, “I was the first to do vodka, the first to have creative control before networks allowed it, the first to create my own iPod—the Rock Box. But I don’t have the funding. I don’t take the devil’s money. If you do… you work for the devil.”
Did Kevin Cut Off Dame After Making It in Hollywood?
Dame didn’t stop there. In another interview, he suggested that Kevin distanced himself after finding success in Hollywood. And, according to Dame, Kevin’s close friendship with Diddy might have something to do with it.
He even hinted that Kevin may have traded his ex-wife, Torrei Hart, for his current wife, Eniko, as part of some behind-the-scenes industry deal.
“You gotta tell me—why? Why are you so quiet all of a sudden? You were just fine a moment ago, and now—new friends?”

“I discovered Kevin Hart.”
He reminded everyone that he cast Kevin in his second movie, Jeck of Dynasty.

“Go watch Jeck of Dynasty. He plays Puff. He actually plays a couple of characters, but Puff is one of them.”

“Because he was funny. I was building Roc-A-Fella Films, and I wanted talent that fit. Plus, I knew white people would like him—he was safe, and he didn’t mind being teased.”

“He won’t help me promote anything. With the amount of people I’ve put on, I should never be broke. I should never have to struggle. The people whose lives I changed should be looking out for me. But the ones I helped the most? They resent me the most.”

“Most of them did things I don’t respect to get where they are. They won’t even be around me—they’re ashamed. And Kevin’s choice of movies? Let’s just say I wouldn’t have taken certain roles.”
Dame recalled being offended when he was asked to be a producer on Soul Plane.
“They wanted me to help make another movie that made us look bad just for laughs. I turned it down. But that same day, Kevin told me he took the role. It probably worked for the career he wanted.”

One of Diddy’s accusers’ attorneys spoke to NewsNation, expressing concern that the video could get out unless the celebrity involved steps in.
“I received the New York Post article from the person trying to sell the tape. I wasn’t shocked, but I was hoping someone would step in and help. The person who has the tape doesn’t want to sell it to the media—they just want to help. But it seems like it’s heading in that direction.”
