The most hilarious guy I’ve ever encountered, the most endearing soul in existence. Brandon concocted a tune just for when I don my night bonnet. The moment stress begins to creep in, he springs into action, taking on whatever he can to ease my load. Every instant spent with him is pure bliss. He’s the partner I never thought I’d require, being so independent. Through him, I’ve discovered layers of myself, and I’m eager and thankful to explore more of the world with him by my side. He’s my partner, my confidant, the daddy to our cat, my everything, my heartbeat, my fiancé. Gabrielle and Brandon, congratulations on such sweetness. Hearing about engagements like yours fills me with joy. Now, shifting gears, let’s discuss Jeezy’s reaction to Jeannie Mai’s remarks about another engaged duo, Jeezy and Jeannie Mai. In a recent interview on ‘Morning Hustle,’ Jeezy fielded questions about Jeannie’s controversial comments on ‘The Real’ regarding black men. When Jeannie expressed her dating preferences, she mentioned a fondness for black men but used unfortunate terminology, referring to them as ‘dark meat’ and expressing a preference for white partners. At the time of her comment, she was married to a white man, which perhaps prompted her to make such a statement. However, her words came across as misguided and ignorant, suggesting that she viewed black men as suitable only for affairs, reserving marriage for white partners. Many interpreted her remarks in this light, and they’ve haunted her for years, especially since her relationship with Jeezy began. When asked about this, Jeezy’s response was rather intriguing, deflecting the question with humor. It’s clear the conversation has evolved, and Jeezy seems to be steering clear of dredging up past controversies.

FYI.’ ‘She sat me down and said, ‘Listen, it was something I said, and it might have been taken out of context. I want you to hear it in its entirety.’ And I did. I believe you guys practice journalism. People can interpret things differently, you know what I’m saying? I know her people, her family. I never sensed any racism. She’s from the Bay, right? You get what I mean? She’s familiar with chitlins, right? She knows E40 better than me, you know? So sometimes, people tend to look for things in others. But at the same time, you should know I’m good at judging character, and I won’t do anything to compromise my integrity. But she’s solid. That was one of our first conversations. You’re different.’ That’s Jeezy’s perspective on Jeannie’s remarks about “dark meat.” I found Jeezy’s response a bit odd. Just because someone is from the Bay Area, eats chitlins, and knows E40 doesn’t necessarily mean they’re aligned with the Black community. However, it’s intriguing to learn that Jeannie initiated that conversation about her comments before she and Jeezy got serious. I believe Jeannie regrets those remarks because they portrayed her in a certain light. I don’t think Jeannie harbors any racist sentiments. Admittedly, she has made some insensitive remarks before, with the “dark meat” comment possibly being the most ignorant one on ‘The Real.’ Nonetheless, I don’t consider her racist, and it’s commendable that she addressed it with Jeezy before their relationship progressed. She recognized the need for that conversation, acknowledging the ignorance and embarrassment her comments caused, and took responsibility for it. It seems like she’s learned and evolved from the experience. Now, onto another topic: the controversy surrounding rapper Mulatto, who recently faced accusations of stealing hair from a vendor.
In the realm of hair care, there’s a notable figure named Deborah who heads the esteemed Capelli Amore brand, renowned for its premium lace fronts, wigs, and bundles. A few years back, Deborah extended a gesture of goodwill towards Mulatto, offering her some of Capelli Amore’s high-end hair products. Mulatto, in return, pledged to promote the products but failed to uphold her end of the bargain.

It’s important to note the significant value of the hair products sent to Mulatto by Deborah. Some of these items command prices in the thousands. Deborah hoped that Mulatto would showcase her products to her audience, thereby boosting Capelli Amore’s visibility. However, Mulatto’s assurances turned out to be empty promises, leaving Deborah feeling deceived.

After attempting to reach out to Mulatto for two years without success, Deborah finally took to Twitter to publicly address the issue. Frustrated by Mulatto’s silence and seeing her everywhere while knowing she had essentially appropriated her hair, Deborah felt compelled to confront the situation head-on.

Reflecting on the sequence of events, Deborah recounted how she initially sent Mulatto the hair, banking on her influence at the time. The understanding was clear: Mulatto would receive the hair and promote it, ideally with tags acknowledging Capelli Amore. Despite Mulatto’s acknowledgment of receipt and assurances of future promotion, her actions didn’t align with her words.

Deborah’s approach to following up was casual, trusting that Mulatto would fulfill her commitment once the hair was installed. However, as time passed and Mulatto continued to promote other brands without honoring her promise, Deborah’s patience wore thin. Despite multiple attempts to reach out, Mulatto consistently ignored her messages, leaving Deborah feeling disregarded and betrayed.

What I’ve come to understand is that when you approach people with courtesy, they’re more likely to engage with your message rather than when you come at them with a confrontational attitude. In this instance, I noticed her on the timeline and felt compelled to reach out. I couldn’t help but wonder why she hadn’t promoted or worn the hair we provided. I had been pondering this for some time, wondering if perhaps there was an issue with the product. Our blonde hair, after all, is exceptional, so I was perplexed by the situation. Feeling frustrated by previous instances of being ignored, I decided to message her, albeit with some irritation. To my surprise, she opened the message promptly after I expressed my concerns.

Now, let’s pause this direct message conversation and take a look at what Debra posted. She initially reached out with a polite inquiry: “Hey, what happened to the hair? We didn’t see a post or a tag.” Following up, she expressed her disappointment, stating that if there was an issue with the product, it should have been returned. She emphasized the importance of supporting a black-owned business that had invested significantly in providing the hair. Despite the growth in her platform, she pointed out the significance of honoring commitments and offered the option to purchase the hair if promotion wasn’t feasible.

And Mulatto responded, saying, “Girl, that was two years ago.” So, Mulatto seems to believe that just because two years have passed, she no longer owes this woman thousands of dollars for the hair she took from her. What’s even shadier is that after Deborah DM’d Mulatto, Mulatto proceeded to block her. Deborah took to Twitter to air out Mulatto, tweeting, “Mulatto legit stole my hair two years ago, and I’ve just been watching her blow up lol. Now she’s blocked us. What a loser. She had the nerve to say that was two years ago, like money’s changed in two years. Get the f* out of here, silly b.” Mulatto responded, saying, “Two years later, I’m getting 10k a post and still would have tagged and reimbursed you if you approached me differently, boo. My last hairstylist stole all my wigs when we parted ways, and I’m still resolving issues today because of it. Waiting for two years for me to blow up sounds opportunistic, and it’s giving me clout chaser vibes.”

Can you believe this? All this time passed, and Mulatto ignored this woman for two years, only to act indignant when called out by Deborah. She owes this woman money. There was an agreement for Mulatto to post and tag her product, but she never fulfilled her end of the deal. Instead of explaining the situation to Deborah, she chose to ignore her for two whole years. I genuinely believe Mulatto needs to pay her what she owes because she received the wigs for free but didn’t promote them. Since she didn’t fulfill her part of the agreement, she should pay for those wigs, likely worth thousands of dollars. Deborah has every right to call her out and demand her money. Yet, Mulatto seems to think it’s a joke, posting tweets mocking Deborah, like “Snatching wigs, literally” and “Still a wig for me, daddy.”

Some of Mulatto’s fans didn’t appreciate her making light of the situation and called her out, rightly so. Mulatto’s response was defensive and dismissive, claiming she doesn’t owe anyone money and implying that Deborah’s approach was the issue. This despite Deborah politely reaching out for two years, only to be ignored. Mulatto’s reaction reflects poorly on her character, showcasing entitlement and disrespect towards a black business owner. This incident further diminishes my opinion of Mulatto. While she may have talent, her attitude leaves much to be desired. What do you think about this messy situation?
