Things are getting messy, and it looks like Kendall Jenner might finally be getting her revenge on Rihanna and A$AP Rocky after years of shade. Everyone knows Rihanna has never been a fan of Kendall—or the Kardashian-Jenner clan in general. But when it comes to Kendall, the tension seems extra personal.

Word on the street is that Rihanna’s issue with Kendall isn’t just about the usual Kardashian drama—it might actually have to do with A$AP Rocky. Rumors have been swirling for years that Kendall and Rocky had a little something going on before he got serious with RiRi. And some even claim Kendall tried to rekindle things after he and Rihanna got together. If there’s one thing we know about Rihanna, it’s that she does not play about her man.

But now, the tables might be turning. A$AP Rocky’s legal troubles are getting worse, and with new witness testimonies coming out, let’s just say he might be wishing he had taken that plea deal. So, what does Kendall think about all of this? And did she just throw shade at Rihanna?

Here’s the thing—Kendall and Rocky weren’t just casually hanging out back in the day. They were serious enough to attend the Met Gala together, which, in celebrity terms, is a huge deal. You don’t walk that carpet together unless there’s something real going on—or you’re pulling a PR stunt.

Naturally, fans have started connecting the dots, and many are convinced that Kendall’s past with Rocky is the real reason behind Rihanna’s long-standing grudge. Rihanna has never been shy about her feelings toward the Kardashian family—she’s made it very clear that she’s not a fan. But when it comes to Kendall, the energy is different. The tension runs deeper.

Their drama goes way back. It’s hard to pinpoint exactly when it all started, but one thing is for sure—Rihanna has had a problem with Kendall for years. We’re talking since she was a teenager.

One of the first signs? When 17-year-old Kendall tweeted about how excited she was to see Rihanna perform, saying, “If Rihanna doesn’t perform ‘Complicated’ tomorrow, I’m going to be very upset. #favesong.”

Rihanna’s response? A brutal clapback: “Well, don’t come.”

And that was just the beginning.
But honestly, this wasn’t the first time Rihanna had issues with Kendall. Even though Rihanna’s never flat-out said she doesn’t like Kendall, someone close to her spilled the tea. Apparently, Rihanna can’t stand how Kendall’s entire career seemed to be handed to her on a silver platter because of her rich, famous family. Meanwhile, Rihanna’s journey has been the complete opposite—she’s had to grind and hustle to get where she is, and that’s something she takes a lot of pride in.

It’s not that Rihanna’s totally against nepotism, but she can’t stand when people act like their family connections had nothing to do with their success. And she feels like Kendall is exactly that kind of person—pretending like her privilege didn’t play a role in her career blowing up.

I mean, remember that interview where Kendall basically shamed other models for working too hard? She said, “Since the beginning, we’ve been super selective about what shows I would do. I was never one of those girls who would do, like, 30 shows a season or whatever the f** those girls do. More power to them.”* That kind of attitude definitely didn’t sit well with Rihanna.

And when I say Rihanna has issues with Kendall, I mean she’s not keeping it to herself. She’s been caught throwing major shade—ignoring Kendall, giving her the cold shoulder, all while making it obvious that there’s no love lost between them. Rihanna doesn’t hide how she feels; her actions say it all.

When Rihanna’s done with someone, she’s really done. There’s that infamous moment at the 2018 Met Gala where an eyewitness claims Rihanna straight-up insulted Kendall to her face and then laughed about it. The witness said, “Rihanna was standing next to Kendall at the bar and loudly said, ‘Good thing I have curves to pull this outfit off. I would hate to be a stick figure.’ Then she just stared at Kendall, laughed in her face, and walked away.” Ouch.

But that wasn’t the only thing that stirred the pot. Back in the day, Rihanna’s close friend, model Jourdan Dunn, got kicked off the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show to make space for Kendall. When Rihanna found out, she wasn’t having it. She was already booked to perform, but when she found out how Jourdan was treated, she pulled out of the show.

Rihanna doesn’t play when it comes to her friends. If you mess with one of them, expect her to stand up for them. Jourdan even tweeted, “Feeling so much better about not doing BS (sorry, I mean VS) now that Rihanna isn’t doing it.” And that was kind of amazing.

Then, in 2021, when the Savage x Fenty show happened, Kendall was nowhere to be seen. It was super obvious—Rihanna made sure Kendall’s besties, Gigi and Bella Hadid, were front and center, but Kendall? Not invited. Talk about shady.

But here’s where it gets even juicier: Rihanna’s dislike for Kendall seems to have rubbed off on A$AP Rocky.

I mean, they’ve been together for a while now, so it’s no surprise their energy matches. If you need proof that Rocky isn’t a fan of Kendall, just watch how he and Rihanna stared at her during one of those fashion shows when Kendall was walking the runway. You could just feel the tension.

So yeah, Rocky and Rihanna are not here for Kendall. And apparently, Rihanna even tried to get the whole Kardashian crew kicked out of the Met Gala. Whatever beef started years ago, it’s still very much alive. Kendall’s even said that Rocky’s current legal troubles are the karma for how he and Rihanna treated her over the years.

And let me tell you, this trial is not looking good for Rocky. If he gets convicted, he could be facing up to 24 years in prison. That’s a long time. To put it into perspective, his kids will be grown by the time he gets out. And let’s be real—Rihanna waiting around for that long? Yeah, not likely.

So what happened to land him in this mess? Well, it all stems from a very bad decision: allegedly pulling a gun on A$AP Relli, a fellow A$AP Mob member, and firing multiple shots. The details behind their fallout are still unclear, but one thing’s for sure—things went south fast.

What started as an argument quickly turned into a full-on altercation. And just when it seemed like things couldn’t get worse, shots were fired. Rihanna was lucky to walk away with just a minor injury—grazed by a bullet—but it could’ve been way worse. Now, Rocky’s dealing with the consequences of that night.

And in case you think this was just a spur-of-the-moment thing, Rocky’s legal team is making sure you know it wasn’t.
So, they’re arguing that Rocky didn’t just shoot out of nowhere, but that it was something he’d been planning. They say it wasn’t some random burst of anger—it was the result of months of tension between him and REI. They claim Rocky had been building up to this, and that night, he supposedly lured REI to a remote spot, making it seem like it would be a chance to talk things through. But instead of working things out, it all spiraled into chaos, and the violence just exploded.

The lawyer said, “Mr. Efron didn’t know, but ASAP Rocky wasn’t just coming to talk—he showed up with a semi-automatic. Once they met, they talked for a bit, and then, out of nowhere, without any warning or reason, Rocky pulled the gun and shot multiple times at Mr. Efron.”

If what they’re claiming about this being premeditated is true, that completely changes everything. If the prosecution can prove that Rocky set up the confrontation, then his defense could fall apart. What might have looked like a heated argument could now be seen as a calculated attack. And with rumors of video evidence in the mix, things are looking pretty grim for Rocky.

The whole situation hit a breaking point in April 2022, when Rocky was arrested at LAX after months of investigation into the 2021 shooting. The timing was disastrous—law enforcement swooped in right as he and Rihanna returned to the U.S. It was a mess.

The LAPD issued a statement:

“The Los Angeles Police Department Robbery-Homicide Division detectives have arrested a suspect in connection with a shooting that happened in the Hollywood area in November 2021. On November 6, 2021, around 10:15 p.m., an argument between two people escalated, and the suspect fired a handgun at the victim. The victim was injured but later treated for minor wounds. After the shooting, the suspect and two other men fled the scene. Detectives worked hard to investigate and identify the suspects involved. The suspect has been identified as 33-year-old Rakim Mayers, better known as rapper ASAP Rocky. LAPD officers arrested Mayers for assault with a deadly weapon (firearm) at Los Angeles International Airport. The case will be presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office for further review.”

After the arrest, Rocky managed to post bail—$550,000—and was released within hours. But that hefty price tag was just the beginning of a long, complex legal battle.

By August 2022, the case officially went to court. Rocky pled not guilty, but since then, things have only gotten worse. With the case moving fast and updates coming in, it’s clear that Rocky’s situation is spiraling. If things keep going in this direction, it’s looking like he might be facing some serious jail time unless something major turns in his favor.

Things aren’t looking better for Rocky—there’s video footage showing him pulling a gun on REI. While the footage doesn’t directly show him firing the weapon, it’s related to the incident and definitely isn’t helping his case. The judge has allowed this footage to be presented as evidence, and it could strongly influence the jury’s view of the incident.

Despite the mounting evidence, Rocky is sticking to his story, claiming the gun was fake. But honestly, no one seems to believe that, especially since someone was grazed by the bullet. Still, Rocky’s lawyer seems confident, saying:

“We’re ready. It’s been a long time, and it’s weighed heavily on Rocky, Rihanna, and their families. We’re ready to put this behind him.”

In a surprising move, Rocky turned down a plea deal from the feds, where he could have served only six months in jail, potentially getting out in just three months. The deal was offered by L.A. prosecutors: plead guilty to one of two felony charges, serve 180 days in jail, get a seven-year suspended sentence, and three years of probation.

It was a solid offer, one that seemed like a no-brainer. Given the alternative—a possible 24 years in prison—the plea deal was a lifeline. If he’d taken it, he probably would’ve been out in three months, which seemed like the best option. But instead, Rocky made the bold choice to turn down the deal and go to trial.

It’s a huge gamble on his part. Given the mounting evidence, including video footage, it’s risky. And things got even more complicated when B took the stand, not just claiming Rocky shot him out of anger, but now saying Rocky shot at him with the intention to kill.

“When he pointed the gun at you, where was it aimed?”
“Towards my stomach, or a little to the side. It all happened so fast.”
“Was the gun moving?”
“Yeah, he had it up, looking for a spot to shoot.”
“Did he say anything?”
“He said, ‘I’ll kill you right now.'”

This shift in B’s testimony changes everything. If his story holds, it’ll make Rocky’s defense a lot harder to sell. What might’ve started as self-defense or an accident could now be seen as a deliberate act of violence, which could lead to much harsher legal consequences for Rocky.

The stakes are incredibly high. By rejecting the plea deal, Rocky could end up risking it all. If the trial doesn’t go his way, he could miss out on his children’s childhoods, their teenage years, and much more of their lives. It’s hard to understand why he’d pass up a deal that, while not perfect, might’ve given him the best chance to stay free and be there for his family. Instead, he’s betting everything on a trial that could change his life forever.

The whole thing feels like a huge gamble, and with B’s new testimony, it’s hard to see how Rocky’s going to win this one. What do you think about his decision to reject the plea deal? Is he making a big mistake, or does he have a shot at turning things around?
